Won't load paper anymore

I got 50 pages out of this printer, tops. Then it ran out of paper and wouldn't load anymore, no matter what I tried. At least it was cheap, because that's exactly what it is. Pure garbage, and incredibly fussy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installation is Awful...Going to Return Product

Wireless install process is awful. Have never had a difficult time configuring devices to my network until now. Life is way too short to have to deal with a wireless setup process that doesn't work. If install protocol calls for easier setup with USB cable, then it would be a lot more prudent for Canon to include a USB cable. This piece of junk is going back to the store.

Wirelessly Set Up in NO time
on March 6, 2014

It literally only took me 15 minutes to set up this printer via WiFi and 12 of that was for the CD to install the software. I was worried about this due to the reviews I had read, but was pleasantly surprised, especially considering that the WiFi I was using is notoriously bad. Such a good experience, I am buying another for myself (this one was a gift). The onscreen menu is a little confusing but I am sure I can figure it out if I spend a little time with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

TERRIBLE MANUALS!!! TERRIBLE TROUBLESHOOTING!!!

First: I am a techie. A real, highly experienced computer professional. Perhaps this would be a great printer...if I could get it to work. But since the error messages make no sense, and link me to places in the manual that aren't appropriate, I have few hopes of that. And that leads to my primary complaint: Instead of making a manual be available, they have only offered an online manual. It is terrible. You click through, and through, and through...to finally get to a single paragraph that isn't what you want or need. Then you back up and try again. A single PDF manual could be read, and searched....but Canon decided not to give one.

Trouble shoot wifi

This is a followup to my previous 5 star rating. I was able to effectively hook this printer up via wifi without incident but after an electrical storm fried my modem and router I had difficulty hooking up the new router via wifi because the new router did not have a WPS button to link to the printer. So this is what worked for me. I reinstalled the driver software from the Canon website and I choose to use the alternate connection (don't remember what it was but it was not a WPS option). Then after going through the motions it did not find the printer. A box came up with options and I choose to redetect. This time it allowed me to assign the printer as series 3 ( I guess I installed this printer two other times) Once I selected this my Mac and iPhone recognized the printer. I consider myself a tech novice but it very rewarding to troubleshoot this printer since so many people are ready to toss it. I hope this can help others out there in frustration land.

Terrible

Always disconnected and had issues printing, but this was when it actually somewhat worked. When we got new router, it COMPLETELY DISCONNECTED and is IMPOSSIBLE to reconnect, meaning it can't print anything now and is nothing more than a useless piece of plastic. Worst printer ever. Don't waste your money on this

Great printer

This is a great printer, especially for the price. I use the printer in my home office and I like it's flexibility and size. The wireless feature is flawless even from my I-Phone on another floor in my home. Print quality is very good. Duplex printing feature is a real plus. Suggest if set-up help is needed, use Canon support (1-800-OK-CANON). They are very helpful and courteous.
