Pro Sentinel Security Camera System

The first system I purchased was the wireless camera system. Later I found that I could use this wired system and hide the wires. I chose the wired system because I didn't want to use my bandwidth. Both systems are very good and comparable. I have had the system for 6 months and love it. As a bonus, the technical support is very good. People like Michel are knowledgeable and willing to help with any issues or setup. I would highly suggest this system for security cameras.

2 TB, 8 channel system

For under $400 and get all this in the package is well worth an entry level system. Easy enough to set up and hook up, though it is difficult running the wires if you have a low ceiling attic.
The picture quality I feel lacks some, and when you zoom an image, forget it, much to blurry. I do get lense reflection on a few of the cameras, maybe I can tweak the cameras over time or purchase Sun Visors, which they should come with but I'm sure they are trying to keep the price down.
I would refer this system if your budget is small like ours. There are I'm sure much better systems out there if you spend some extra cash.
The smart phone app works smoothly, though it's still a little early to give a definitive review on it....we do have a couple small issues with configuration and unnecessary features installed in the app...all minor.
Overall we give this system 4 of 5 stars
Pros- easy to hookup, comes with EVERYTHING, decent recording features, ok picture quality, pretty good mobile features, and simple set up.
Cons- pixelation is high, no sun visors, cheaply made remote and mouse, does not have wireless feature built into the Hard Drive, you have to run an Ethernet cable which you'll have to purchase or make.

Two Time Owner

This is the second camera system I've owned from Defender and and I'm very happy with performance. Old sytem was still working fine afetr several years however, I bought this one because I liked the wide angle view and the resolution appears better. The night vision also appears to be clearer than my previous model. Setting up on my I-Phone was much easier than in the past.
I would recommend this to a friend!

awesome is all I can say. the hardest part was running the wires. The cameras are crisp and clear and the night vision works great. highly recommended. I have an apartment house and this was the best investment I could have made!! Thank you so much defender!!

First security system

This is my first security system. It was very easy to connect right out of the box. Everything is designed to make it easy to adjust and install. I had a problem logging in to the dvr and the night vision would not activate on one of the cameras. I was on hold a long time waiting on customer support, but once I got there Michel was great and very helpful. So far I have been very happy with the system.Eas

EXCELLENT VIDEO QUALITY; USE AN APP TO VIEW REAL TIME VIDEO ON A SMARTPHONE AND SENDS AN EMAIL FOR MOTION NEAR A CAMERA, DIRECTIONS FOR SMARTPHONE SETUP NEED TO BE MORE COMPLETE, MOTION SENSITIVITY IS ADJUSTABLE AND IS A LITTLE TRICKY TO GET AT OPTIMUM

I liked this unit so much I am purchasing 3-4 more cameras . We have an individual in the home with dementia and it helps to have eyes all over inside and out . Unit performs as expected .Still installing more.
