Great system for the price

After a lot of internet searching I decided to buy the Defender with 8 cameras and glad I did. The pictures are very clear and night vision is long and sharp. This system was easy to install and the software is user-friendly.

Great system

I bought this product because the features, the price, and reviews. The system is exactly as advertised. The video quality is very good and there are tons of options to customize recordings. The only issue I have with it is when it reboots and doesn't pick up the mouse or remote most of the time and I have to do the reset.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought wired because I believe it is more difficult to be hacked. Everything is working fine. Michel did a great job helping me "network the dvr" - his instructions were easy to follow. I definitely recommend having a camera system.

Great quality product for a great price

I just purchased the 8 camera system with 16 channel DVR. The system was easy to setup and the quality of the video is excellent. Setup for online access for streaming was also easy. I had an issue with 2 of the cameras, but online chat support was able to handle my claim quickly without hassle. I will order from them again when I need additional cameras.

Defender Video Security System Review

I purchased this system about a month ago and considered having it installed by a contractor. Then I thought about dealing with a contractor running cable through my house and decided to try installing it myself. I was very pleased with the ease of mounting and connecting the cameras. Hid the cables under wood moldings on the walls. Got video as soon as the cables were plugged up to the dvr. I thought getting the system up on the pc and on my cell phone would be difficult. I watched the videos on youtube and tried getting the system up. I did need help with this part but a defender tech called me and gave me excellent phone support about 2 hours after my request for help. The tech, Michel, was excellent with his customer service attitude and his knowledge of how to walk me through what was going on. I wrote it all down and feel very confident I can take care of the tech aspects of the system myself now. My system is up and running and I can see my house while traveling and have very good piece of mind. Considering what it cost to have a Comcast or other communications company install and monitor, this is an outstanding way to go. I am very pleased with it. The only thing I may do is get a higher resolution camera for one of my locations. Other than that, outstanding value!
