Doesn't "Appeal" to me

I was disappointed in the performance and quality of this phone. My first smart phone purchase, I would not buy this particular smart phone again. I have been a Samsung customer for many years, have purchased several cell phones and a flat screen T.V. made by Samsung in the past.
The battery will not ordinarily hold a charge even when the phone is turned off. I have had problems with it going blank/black screen as if the hard drive has crashed and can only get it to reset by removing the battery and re-installing it again.I like the android OS, however it should be upgraded to the latest Android, not stuck with Gingerbread forever. I like the features and the value, however I would pay more for better performance and quality which includes the battery charge life.

No Battery, No Phone

If a phone won't hold a charge it doesn't matter how many great features it has, it won't work! Being tethered to a charging cord is not acceptable. At first it would hold a charge for 4 hrs of standby time before it started shutting down to conserve battery. On the most battery conserving settings and after doing 4 deep cycles of the battery, it will now hold a charge for 11 hrs before being below 20% battery.
I contacted Samsung where I was told I had a defective battery and to contact the place of purchase. Samsung didn't have any replacement batteries for me to purchase, nor did they even offer to replace it had they had one. I contacted the place of purchase and although they didn't have any replacement batteries they found one for me at another online store and refunded me the cost of the replacement battery. It hasn't arrived so I can't comment on the new battery.
So, in summary, I have a phone that won't hold a charge, where the manufacturer doesn't have replacement batteries in stock and I am tethered to a charger.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, defective batteries common

Great phone for the price

I purchased this phone as a upgrade/replacement phone and so far I am impressed with it's overall performance.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, android

i love my new phone

i love my new phone, I love the keyboard because I can type faster on the keyboard than on the screen. I'm still learning how to use all the features, but it is awesome!!! My husband has the galaxy s3 and he loves his as well!!!

I bought this phone to use temporarily because I accidentally drowned my old phone. It's very slow because of all of the Samsung and AT&T bloatware, it has a very small amount of ram so heavy applications will frequently crash if there are any other apps running in the background. Also the physical keyboard keys are very hard to push and it makes typing very very slow.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive
Cons: Did not meet expectations, slow

This phone is a great deal

This is the first time I have purchased a smart phone and I absolutely love!!! I got more than I expected and it was a great buy and I have been telling everyone about how much I love this phone. The only problem I have with the phone is that the letter D gets stuck and the camera has no flash. I still think it's a great phone and a great buy for the price.

Will not connect to USB

This phone is loaded with bloat ware. Tons of apps I will never use or find any interest in taking up a lot of space. No matter what I do I can not get the phone to connect to ANY computer by USB. Drivers installed, doesn't matter. Tried three different computers so far and no luck. This phone blows...

Paperweight?

I bought mine 2 months ago from a major electronics store chain. It won't turn on anymore. They couldn't tell if it was the charger or the battery. My only 2 options are buying a new battery (shouldn't they last longer than 2 months?) or send it back to Samsung and WAIT to see what they'll do! TOTAL JUNK!!
