It was a bit bigger than I expected, pictures never match the real thing. Still it fits where it was placed, so not a complaint just an observation. Worth the investment.

Absolutely love this trash can! The quality is amazing and the soft close lid is great! The first one did come damaged, but I was able to get a replacement quickly and ship the damaged item back. Customer service was great! We also bought a smaller version to use as a recycle bin. They look great in our kitchen. So many compliments, I know, on trash cans!

simplehuman is the only trash can I use. Have used them for many many years. The quality surpasses any other brand. This rectangle step trash can is great. I love that the hinge for the top is inside the frame so it does not rub on my cabinet like my old one did. Love that liner bin sits high for easy bag changing. The fingerprint proof stainless steel is great.

50L was too big but 38L is just right!

Ok, I didn’t pay enough attention when I ordered the 50L can; as a result, I was so surprised at how large it was! Not a problem! simplehuman was happy for me to return it and I ordered the 38L after reviewing the dimensions. It is perfect, the 13 gallon garbage bag is fully utilized instead of being only about 2/3 full when tossed out. The foot pedal sticks out a bit farther than it did on my old can so it’s actually easier to access, great! It’s a beautiful and well made can, quiet and smooth in operation. We are super happy - so Thank You simplehuman for your attention to detail and quality. You can be proud!!
