I had reservations about spending this kind of money on a trash can

But I’m glad I did! It’s very solid & no matter what you put in it, the lid closes so securely that no odor escapes. The step lever still works perfectly after two years of use, the mechanism to prop the lid open is handy, and regular kitchen trash bags from the grocery store will fit, although it’s tight. I would even say it looks elegant in the kitchen. I expect this can will last & look good for many years to come.

This is more than just a simple trash can, it is a well designed and masterfully constructed waste container. Simple Human has thought of everything you could possibly want and engineered it into this container. On top of that, it is sleek and quite. It is truly years ahead of other waste container design. I would highly recommend the investement.

The whole unit has become dented from very little force. The contraption on the inside that opens and closes the lid has failed. So the lid closes on its own but doesn’t completely seal. I would expect a company of this size to send me a full replacement free of charge.

I love the clean lines and function. I think it’s a little big for our space. Wish regular trash bags weren’t such a stretch. They do fit.

This garbage pail is easy on the eyes and very convenient. It fits perfect in our kitchen and it opens and closes super easy. It has a lock that will keep it open for when changing bags and the glad fit in to them as well as the bed bath and beyond bags. Love it!
