45 liter, butterfly step can

Had 1st almost 9.5 years. Had some problems with opening. Sent back (10) yr warranty. It was replaced In short order with new model it's great love "simple human". Will purchase "simple human" again. 10 stars....

We have thoroughly enjoyed the 45 litre, butterfly step can, it works so smoothly, the bags we ordered work perfectly with the can. It usually handles a week of garbage without emptying, couldn't be happier.

This is my second butterfly step can (the first one lasted over 18 years). I love everything about it! I even bought one for my sister-in-law when we were visiting. My in-laws liked it so much that they bought one too.

My cats have found more ways to get in the garbage and other things, and I'm constantly having to buy stuff, like a bread box, enclosed paper towel holder, etc. The last step can from a different manufacturer broke right away, and I'd spent more than I thought I should on that. Can't believe I spent this much on this one, but it's so awesome. Well made, no plastic parts to break, holds way more, but still fits in a small space. Bags are great, but regular ones fit just fine, too. Not pawprint proof on top, but the cats tend to slide right off, which is hilarious. Since it's next to the counter, I just lock it open to keep them out while cooking, (it's tall, but still fits under the countertop), and no way they can get in while closed. Love this can, and the warranty! And it's beautiful, not something I thought I'd ever say about a trash can.
