Scratches at the lid opening but less noticeable than the dark stainless. But still for this much money, I don't feel this should be an issue.

Dog proof so far

This is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I have a red bone coonhound that broke the top of my last stainless can. He has been an ongoing trash can offender, and I have used heavy items to weigh down the lid to keep him out. He has not gotten in the trash since replacing with the butterfly... thank you for thinking of this big dog solution!

Of course I could have gone to the store and bought a trash can for fraction of the price. But I’d rather buy a quality product that lasts, performs, and is top quality, rather than go through multiple cheaper trash cans.
This trash can looks beautiful, lid closes silently and smoothly and I’m so happy with the purchase.

Bought 1 because we were in need of a "dog proof" garbgage can and it had the best reviews for this type of problem. We now own 2! Each worth every penny spent just to come home every day not to find garbage strewn around the house. Will never buy any other brand again! Closes quietly. Works smoothly. Wipes clean and stays clean with minimal fingerprints/smudges. The removable inner bucket is great! Makes cleaning a breeze. Absolutely LOVE the stay open feature...use it daily while doing chores or a lot of cooking. Would love a small one for our bathrooms.
