Fits Under Counter

We needed a trash can to go at the end of our counter. Wanted it to sit flush against cabinet and not hit counter top or cabinet when opened. This is the only one we found that would fit. Works as expected. Quiet.

Dented butterfly step can

The butterfly step can arrived with a dent in the back. None of the packaging was damaged. So it seems the damage happened before it was shipped.
Love it, but the dent is disappointing.

I had the same model

I had the same model for 20 years and always worked well. It was a heavy and very good quality. Many years ago, one hinge was broken, I notified Simplehuman and they replaced it for me free. I was really touched. The 2nd one worked well until recently The door wasn’t closed properly. I thought it was broken. That was why I purchased a new one. Later. I found out there was nothing wrong with the door it was me who used force and damaged the opening.
The new one is much lighter than the old one. Not sure the material is as strong as the older version. It’s beautiful. I hope it will last as long as the older version.

Perfect full sized can in a tight space

I live full time in my fifth wheel RV and have limited space. This can fits perfectly in my small space, and the butterfly opening keeps the overall height below the edge of my cabinets.

I purchased the smaller butterfly step can 19 yrs ago, it's still going strong and looks great. I went to my sister's and noticed her 45l dual compartment step can. It was exactly what I needed, it's perfect for our kitchen functionality.
