Fantastic for the kitchen!

I was not a fan of the design of the other cans that simple human has because of the opening in the back, but this one was exactly what I was looking for. It is a bit expensive for a trash can, but it is well worth what I paid for it. Well made, functions wonderfully and does exactly what I needed a can to do. Changing out the bags is the easiest I have ever seen in a can, and it is satisfying how well the simple human bags fit, but also how well the Glad 13 gallon bags fit.
I am happy that I bought it - this is something you use everyday and likely many times a day and I appreciate how much better it is than most options every time I use it.

Love my new trash container. From its size to the soft closer. Even the design to hold the trash liners. I had seen it before in other home but you can’t even get close to how great it is until you purchase one. My number 1 purchase for 2022.

Dream come true!

I had my eyes on this garbage can for years....but was hesitant to commit. While trying to replace our old garbage can, I would compare all potential replacements against this simple human can. I finally bought one online since I couldn't find the metal butterfly in stores around me. What a smart decision I made...
The garbage can arrives and it's great. The trail pack of bags quickly made our family realize we needed to have those on hand as well. Before this can, our garbage bags would rip inside the can or we took out a half filled bag every other day. Now, we take a full bag out once a week that's not torn. Our five year old lab who randomly "shopped" in the garbage - can't get into this can. The garbage bin looks very nice and is easy to clean. About a week after buying this can....we bought a second , identical can for our recycling bin.

Also purchased this for my parents. We love our rose gold slim fit trash can that has a traditional opening feature. When we saw this one, we realized it would be a step up since it won’t keep hitting the wall when opening. Note that this model doesn’t have a storage space inside for extra trash bags which we purchased as did our other model.

Although the description says that you can use other bags/liners of the appropriate size, the standard 13 gal bags are just a wee bit smaller than SimpleHuman's own. I stretch them to fit because they are SO MUCH CHEAPER. Other than that, I'm pleased with the step can.
