Basset Hound Proof!

Absolutely wonderful. The improvements to the lid are a great addition. We have had a 30L butterfly step can with a plastic lid for ~10 years. Every ~ 18 months we had to replace/fix the lid. With the new stainless steel lid this problem is eliminated. We are so happy with this can. It is the ONLY trashcan that keeps Basset Hounds out of the trash (which is priceless!!and amazing since they are able to figure out every other trash can). I work at a veterinary hospital and recommend your butterfly step cans to all dog owners that have a problem with dogs in the trash.

This perfectly meets our needs

We wanted something to combine our recycling and our trash. The slim design works well in our kitchen. The butterfly opening I think is just fun, so it makes me happy to use it.

Great purchase

It’s pricey but it delivers what was promised. I have it at the end of my kitchen peninsula where a regular trash can lid would hit the countertop. The butterfly lid is perfect! I also love that it’s quiet opening and closing. I got the 45L and it’s a great size. Worth the price!

I finally took the plunge and bought the 45L regular and the 40L recycling step cans and I wish I had purchased them sooner. They're well made and worth the price tag.

This is the second can I bought of this make/model. Loved the first one, and had to wait for it to become available again in this same size so they both could match. Wanted them identical so have one for trash and one for recyclables. We make a lot of trash, and the combo cans were too small for our needs. I also needed a can that was dog proof. A few years ago, I researched and this can was recommended as being dog proof. They were not lying. I have four dogs, and one in particular is a Houdini with counters and cans. She cannot tip this or get into it all and doesn't even try. I love that is it whisper quiet, so she does not even know when you are using it. I love the K bags that fit perfectly. It looks amazing, even with first can being 2 years old! no dents or scratches. I order bags about once a year. Love this can. Def recommend and you will not be disappointed.
