This is our second simplehuman trash can and we love it. The interior can liner makes for easy bag changes and the step lever makes throwing things away when your hands are full a clean and easy thing!

My prior version of an almost identical simplehuman model lasted for 15 years. It was white and eventually developed some rust issues, but I'm hoping the newer model will be more rust proof. The current model has a very quiet soft close lid, but I wouldn't mind if it closed a bit faster. Otherwise, it fits my needs perfectly.

Perfect for my small space

This can is beautiful , works perfectly and best of all fits in the small space I have in my kitchen. Takes the 13 gallon compostable Primode or Biobags that I want to use. All in all - perfect.

Perfect size for smaller households

This step can is just the right size for our two-person home. It doesn't take up too much space and looks great in our kitchen. The liners are a perfect fit so the bag doesn't show at all when the lid is closed. I love that the lid closes quietly, too.

Can looks great. Came in perfect condition, well packaged, very quickly, after ordering direct from the factory. Slow close lid functions very well but will come with one sacrifice as the lid can only open most of the way and won't stay in the open position in order to let the slow close operate. Makes changing the bag or removing the can liner a little hard to do compared to the older version that just lets the lid drop. I have both and think they both have their merits. Both versions are 5 star in my mind. Great product in looks and function.
