I had a similar version of this for years and decided to get this nicer one when I needed a can that would go in a more visible location. This is so very attractive, operates as I expected, and the charcoal filter works well.

Not as good as the old model

We bought this about a year ago. It still works, the the one we had before was a better design. The trash bags fit better.

Bought this for a diaper trash can for our nursery. The step-to-open feature is perfect. Slender and sleek so it takes up minimal room and still looks classy. Cover seals well to conceal even the stinkiest diapers. Highly recommend!

So, I found simplehuman some time ago and really latched on. I purchased this step can as a replacement to one I had for about 15 years that finally gave out (the step broke). My previous can had a plastic top and foot. When the foot broke I was distraught because I had several G bags left. This can is the perfect size for my household.

Slick Trash can improved...

I already had this product that I purchased probably 10 years ago. So when I need another one I ordered this one...which has been improved in ALL the best places. I didn't like see the edge of the liner just below the lid. The falling lid made a loud clanging noise. All now improved in this new model. Thanks

Nice Addition to our Break Room

This is a great trash can! It's nice in a work breakroom to not have to touch the trash can. This has a foot pedal to open and an auto-closing lid. It's also large enough to handle all our trash in one day.

Hands Free For Health & Safety

I love this trash can! So simple to operate without touching anything - since we're washing our hands all the time now it's nice not to worry that the kitchen trashcan will be harboring any germs; we don't ever have to touch it! And I really love that the surface doesn't smudge or leave any marks. Great size, sleek, closes quietly!
