My new trash can seems to be working as expected. It's attractive (for a trash can). It appears like it's good quality. I'm using it to store soiled laundry, per health code, in a hair salon. The liner is nice. I use a mesh liner with it, purchased from a local store chain. I hope it will actually open and close well, as the advertisement states, because I open and close it many times a day.

Excellent capacity for kitchen garbage and surprisingly attractive. The lid is not totally silent and I sometimes have difficulty getting the G bag to tuck in neatly but overall this purchase is a great success.

Somewhat Disappointed

After purchasing my first simplehuman trash can I was incredibly pleased with the quality of the product. I decided to try a different style and was very disappointed. The lid constantly gets stuck and subsequently launches open after an extra amount of effort is applied, lending me to no longer use the pedal. Will likely be returning.

I replaced an old (10 years) Simplehuman step can as the plastic parts on the lid broke. This new step can is without the plastic - hopefully it will last a few years. Very happy with Simplehuman products.

We really like simplehuman products. Recently bought six. Unfortunately the 30L arrived with a dent in the lid, most likely due to shipper’s carelessness. However, the flaw distracts from the appearance of the container.
