This little gem does almost everything I could expect with certain exceptions. I would have appreciated not having to shop for a usb adaptor (which I hope works as it's packaged for the 10" model. I also wish I could use netflix as I have a subscription. Other than that it's fantastic!!
Pros: -Beautiful screen -User-friendly, customizable OS -Sleek, sturdy design -Affordable price -Portability -Excellent for web-browsing and e-mail
Cons: -Lack of processing power -App limitations (especially with 3D games) -Pre-installed apps cannot be removed -Samsung Kies and Android 2.3 Gingerbread have not been released in the US.
Summary: This is an affordable, useful, well-designed tablet that is perfect for the every day user. The lack of processing power and app limitations keep this from being a top-of-the-line tablet.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight, camera
Cons: processing power, app limitations
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice package, appreciate the access to the android marketplace. The screen resolution rocks, and the syncn with my company Exchange server has been flawless. Have to say I am somewhat disappointed with the speed of the processor compared to some of the Tegra 2 tablets that I have seen, however.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love it, but...

I really love my Samsung 7" tablet but lately it has been freezing up and I have to reboot (as per instruction in manual). I encouraged my sister and father to buy one and they too are very happy with it. On the day I told my sister how to reboot "if necessary", hers froze. Really glad the rebooting "unfreezes" the unit.
Overall a solid device. Without trying to sound overly cirtical I do need to "reboot" a little more frequently than I would like and I really wish there was a Gingerbread update, but the wi-fi is fast never have had any issues with video lags plays downloaded movies awesome off micro SD.
I bought 5 of these for Christmas. The kids all opened them up to play with them (pluged in to charge before wrapping them) & 3 were fine, 1 worked for 1/2 an hour, and the other one wont turn on at all. Plugged it into computer and the screen has a bunch of error messages on it. Will do some investigating and update you to see if they ever work. Gave it a 3 out of 5 stars because thats how many worked!
Cons: Did not meet expectations

incomplete

It's a nice little tablet, but by not supporting HID bluetooth technology (used by almost everyone) and video chatting on services as Skype makes it an incomplete device compared to it's competition.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent entry level tablet, but could be better

As an entry level tablet, this is still one of the best. It's capable enough to handle day to day tasks, big enough to see clearly, and small enough to fit in a coat or pant pocket. The battery life is just fine. I can go all day, using it regularly, and never have to think about the charger. I typically only charge once every two or three days.
The biggest drawback to this device is that it is stuck at Froyo and there is no signs of getting an upgrade in the US. With a little know how and searching, it can be easily upgraded to Gingerbread, albeit unofficially. Doing so greatly improves the usability and stability of the device. However, those looking for official upgrade support are out of luck, which is really a shame, because lesser hardware has proven to handle Ice Cream Sandwich quite gracefully.
One more negative is that the device doesn't handle more "exotic" WiFi configurations well. It does just fine on basic networks, but if you have any advanced authentication, extenders, or anything else out of the ordinary, be ready to fight with it. The unofficial Gingerbread upgrade improves this somewhat, but WiFi stability still remains an issue.
Overall, I can tentatively recommend this for someone looking for a solid device on a budget, but if you can afford better, I would recommend stepping up to a more capable device.
