I've owned my Tab since May. For me the size is perfect, it fits in most of my purses. I take it everywhere including two vacations. I'm able to read, keep in touch with family and the world. I especially love to read my hometown newspaper no matter where I am. I have one complaint, wish the battery lasted longer.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery should have better life

I originally bought this tablet to keep my 11 year old daughter from playing with my Samsung Galaxy S phone. This tablet is like a giant version of my phone, and I absolutely love it! A year ago, I was relatively new to the smart phone and android concepts, but I learned fast. It may be limited on a few apps, but that is not a big deal for me. I can do everything with this tablet I can with my phone except call. It is smaller and lighter than a laptop, so it goes everywhere easily. Wi-Fi connects fast, and downloads are rapid too. If this is your first tablet, you will be impressed.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Realistic color, Lightweight, ease of use, great features, tough, performs like it's supposed to
Cons: will be better with gingerbread, add another usb port
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love it !! I just got it for Christmas, and i have played with it every day since. it works great for email and to play games and chat. Its really easy to use.

GET THE NEWER VERSION

This Tab runs a three-generation old operating system designed for phones, not Tabs. The NEW Samsung 7" Tab runs the newest system and is GREAT. Also, Samsung has not upgraded the software via Kies in the U.S, whereas Europe has started getting upgrades. This should have been updated LONG ago.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no firmare updates, lack of customer support
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wonderful Gift I Received

I received this gift for my birthday last week and love it. I am the owner of the Galaxy S3 and the setup of the Tab was easy and quick. All of my personal settings were transferred over with ease, there was very little effort to get it up and running. The battery life on this tablet is amazing. This tablet allows me to do everything I need to from the comfort of my bed.

Missing a couple of items that dissappoint

I am a tablet user, I use an Ipad for work, and I really like the Galaxy Tab's size and portability. My biggest complaint is that the device cannot at this sitting use the front video camera, for anything other than taking pictures. I hope that with firmware updates and software updates it will work.
