Great except auto rotate screen has quit working twice...

I really like this tablet but the only thing that has happened is the auto rotate screen has locked up twice now...otherwise great features!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: auto rotate screen quit working

I wanted a tablet to read mail, news and read books. This Galaxy Tab 7 serves the purpose. I am not happy with the fact that the operating software is not upgradeable.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations

Got it for Xmas was not what I thought it was cant use Samsung app store wont work been trying to get it to work for 2 months now

Very user friendly. It was easy to learn and understand how to use. My husband is not very technology savy, but learned how to use it without any assistance. The only concern I have had recently is that it doesn't always pick up wifi (although I have the sprint 3G hot spot). But other than that, I really enjoy using it!

Fits in the palm of my hand

I have largish palms, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 fits in one of them nicely! I can work on my novels, play Mah Jong or Words with Friends, read a Kindle or Nook e-book (there are apps for those), and connect to the Internet at any Wi-Fi hotspot. I have the first model (running Android 2.2 Froyo); there have been new ones since (running Android 2.3 Gingerbread & up). The drawbacks I have are the inability to uninstall the pre-loaded Samsung apps (most of which I don't use); the placement of the keyboard settings button (I keep hitting it when I punctuate a
sentence); occasional system freezes that require rebooting; and the inability of some sites to load properly (they recognize Android 2.3 & up). Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and woukd recommend a Samsung Galaxy tablet to anyone. Who needs an iPad? :D

This was my first tablet and i was impressed with the performance until about 6 months after the purchase. I also read an article on Engadget and said that Android 2.2 was not suited for tablet use. I agree with this completely. However it's nice for something to show someone or basic web browsing or reading.
