Square Up Credit Card Reader Won't Work with this Unit.

I bought this unit because I needed a device to use for Credit Card Swipes when selling. I had read online that people were able to use the Square Up Credit Card device for Scanning Cards with Galaxy Tabs. I believe now after testing for weeks and talking with the Square Up Customer service that the Square Up Credit Card Reader Won't Work with this Galaxy Tab Wifi Unit. Also confirmed with another user. This unit isn't like the Galaxy Tabs that have a Cell phone service. System is different than what I believed I was getting and Something is missing in the Wifi only unit that isn't in the Galaxy Tabs with a Service Plan. hmm.. Not pleased with whats missing...
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations

Galaxy Tab WiFi not ready for Prime Time

I purchased this unit because of its form factor and listed features. I like the look of the device but due to Android, it falls far short of my expectations. First of all, let us be frank. Android was not designed for tablets, it was designed as a cellular phone OS. That being said, putting it on a tablet with WiFi only, causes problems with the android market. Many applications that I run on my phone don't even show up in the marketplace for this device. This is because many applications in the market specify which cellular carriers they can be used on. If your tablet doesn't have a carrier (i.e. WiFi only), you won't be able to download that application. Oh there are hacks out there to allow you to do these things but why should I have to go through hours of searching websites to figure out how to install something? Also, the Samsung app store has almost nothing available for the US market (I think there are like 20 apps in their store). Save your money. This is a great loooking device but it is hampered by a flawed operating system called Android.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, android not designed for wifi devices

I love the size for portability. On occasion, the pages freeze and it gets frustrating. I should have waited a couple months for Honeycomb 3.0 to come out. But I prefer the 7" to the 10 ! Otherwise, I love Samsung products. I also have a fridge/freezer by Samsung.... wonderful. Energy star, attractive and functional.... Love it ; }

Cons: freezes up

Keeps crashing

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and it has crashed twice, wiping out my calendar and downloads (except for books, thank heavens). It is unreliable. The home button doesn't work and it doesn't shut down properly.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, unreliable software

Great Tablet

For the new price this tablet is great. It is fast and runs well. It is a little sensitive to the screen flip however so are most tablets. I do wish that some of the factory apps could be removed to save space as it did not take long to fill the built in memory. Overall i am really enjoying the use of this tablet. Screen looks great, light weight, and packs more punch for the price than most competitors. I shopped around for about a month and finally decided to try this out. I dont regret it at all.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: internal memory is almost taken up upon purchase

I enjoyed the product for the three weeks that it worked. The motherboard went out and I have been without the product longer than I had it. I am requesting a refund and going with apple

Interesting device, attractive price, but with a cell phone O/S and not Honeycomb it's a dead end. Squandered potential.

i think the display quality(high definition) for galaxy tablet not good enough. if zooming image, it will look blur and unclear.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
