I love this tab. Excellent e-reader and all around Android Tablet. Small enough to easily travel cross country with me, large enough for my needs.
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

The design is great. Its control are easy to used. The tablet seems to loose wifi signal alot. The android operating system needs to be upgrade to ginger bread or better. Sound quality is pretty good from speakers. The tab needs better accesories. Looks like Samsung gave up on the tabs with android 2.2 and just built the new honeycomb tablets and left everyone with a 7inch tablet in the dark. This tab is good for a android beginner but not good enough for and advance android user. My rating might change if they decide to improve the operating system.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, needs better suppport from samsung, android software is out dated., wifi issues need to be fixed, needs to fix freezing after installing apps

Ive only had it for a few days now but i did my research before buying. If a smaller tablet is what your looking for then this is the one you want.. in my opinion this is the best of all 7 inch tablets... I have an iphone so i didnt want an ipad cause i can do the same things and i wanted to try out the android market a little.. So far im pleased. The performance is good. Ive only had one occurance where i had to turn it off completely because it froze and that was caused by me running way too many apps at the same time.. The touch screen is responsive,and it has very good viewing angles. I got it on sale so the purchase was a no brainer since ive been eyeing it up for a little while now. Only issue i really have has nothing to do with its functionality.. I just wish it would have came with the most current version of android.. Thats it..

This product is very slow and is always freezing, I have to keep restarting to use it, (untill it freez again) I wish that I could return it or maybe samsung come up with a program to correct this problem, I had the same problem with the fascinate phone, NO MORE SAMSUNG FOR ME!.

Samsung says "The front facing camera is ideal for video chat.". However, this model only runs android 2.2 - which doesn't support front facing cameras. So no skype for you.
This model also doesn't support TV out like the p1000 (3G) model does.
Samsung has released no updates for this product since launch and has announced no plans for updates to this product.
Pros: 7 inch tablet
Cons: Not high def, Did not meet expectations, lack of software updates, can't use front facing cam
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm spending more time with the Tab then my desktop or laptop. The Tab will be used to replace my laptop. Waiting for Android 2.3.

I bought this on a whim; after wasting a lot of money over the past year on Android Tablets to include a Motorola Zoom, I saw this one and bought it. Past experiences have taught me that the included applications are usually sub-par so I spend more money on replacements. What a pleasant surprise to find that the email, web browser, music player and other applications actually work. It’s fast, looks well built, and have had zero crashes so far. My only issue is the weight of the device, but I can live with that.
I Like it so much I may just purchase a 10” Galaxy Tab if they add a SD slot to it.
