This was a gift from my boyfriend last week who is a software programmer. I've been wanting a tablet pc for months but he said none of them were good enough yet to invest in. This model changed his mind. Since receiving my tablet I literally cannot put it down. It is easy to use, super portable and has tons of options for work and play. I need to be connected for work 24/7 and this device allows me to modify docs on the go, review emails from all accounts and work in bed without lugging a laptop into the bedroom. As a woman, I love being able to pop this is my purse and run out the door. And the battery life is amazing. I charge it up at night and never need to recharge throughout the day, even while running multiple apps at once. Plus it does so much for the price such as take great pics, play surround sound music, download uber fast and video chat. Unfortunately it makes my droid phone and macbook seem wimpy now. I look at my phone and think "what a tiny little screen". I look at my macbook and wonder why I would travel with that? Long story short, it is everything I wanted for an amazing price without a contract.
I love this 7" tablet. I have an iPad2, but I really love the form factor of this tab, and find myself using it much more than the iPad2. FROYO is great (can't wait for Gingerbread). It's very customizable. I'm running ADW Launcher EX with all kinds of unique settings - can't do that on the iPad2. Android games are phenomenal on this machine.
With tablets emerging from every corner how to differentiate?
IPS LED screen -- it's that simple.
I will not consider a monitor or tablet (or even a laptop) if it does not utilize IPS. OLED would be better. The color accuracy, the angles and consistent image are well worth whatever the additional cost is.
It is easy to use, intuitive, great sound through headphones, speakers can made quite loud (just don't expect great sound). WiFi connection is stable, USB transfers to the microSDHC are OK (Class 4).
Accessing the internet is easy and the experience navigating pleasant.
All in all, a great device.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, ips lcd, great sound, support for ogg and flac
Cons: boot up time a bit slow
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my tablet for college work, and let me tell you: I LOVE IT.
I am studying to be an ASL Interpreter. I have a 16G memory card which allows me to store class video study materials. I have one "page" dedicated to my study tools: ASL dictionary, fingerspelling app, Thesaurus and English Dictionary - all available through the Apps Marketplace.
Of course, I also have my games "page" for when studying hurts my brain.
Facebook keeps me connected with my friends. And the front and back cameras let me sign with Deaf using Skype, or videoing Interpreted performances for review later.
I converted and loaded some of my movies for a flight to Las Vegas recently. So easy to travel with. Fits in my purse.
I just LOVE my tablet and find wi-fi only to be no hindrance at all.
I have tried another, less expensive tablet and it just left me wanting for more. I did my research before selecting the Galaxy Tab-WiFi. It was the perfect size and price. If you don't want all the bells and whistles of an iPad, this is a great intro into the tablet market.
Awesome tab easy to use. small love how its just right for my hand, so easy my 4 and 9 yr old both use it with no problems.. I know what i'm getting them for christmas..
The Wi-Fi connection is ideal for me, since I already have a home Internet service provider and a work T-1 Internet connection. The battery is longer lasting than my laptop, so long as I turn it off when I am not using it. It works great with every App I have downloaded. The street view feature on Maps works as well on the Galaxy Tab as it does on my PC at home. The ear plugs get great stereo sound. Any cons I had initially have been resolved as I got used to the touch screen and other features that work differently than for a PC or laptop. Just love my Galaxy Tab!
