I love how easy my Soda stream is to use. It only takes a minute to make a delicious beverage and it does not take electricity. I can take it anywhere. I use it every day.

this is great! I drink a lot of diet sodas and was kinda worried this wouldn't taste very good but boy was I wrong! I really like it! Thank you for a great tasting diet soda!

Worse than "New Coke"!

You'd think that soft drink companies would have learned their lesson with the "New Coke" debacle from the 80's. The "Fountain Style" regular and diet were great. This new version is disgusting and tastes like chemicals. Really liked SodaStream, but without a palatable cola flavor, I have no choice but to move on.

Tastes like Pepsi, not Coke

To me this tastes a lot like Diet Pepsi and not like Diet Coke. If you're a Pepsi person, that will probably make you happy. I'm a Diet Coke person so I really don't like it and I'm getting through the bottle by mixing it with root beer.

I Love the Sodastream product. As long as I can buy what I want from local retailers everything about it is superb. I had difficulty obtaining the flavors I wanted from my local dealer so I placed a small order directly from your company. The shipping and handling costs were absolutely outrageous. I will never again buy anything directly from your company. If I can't get the flavors I want locally, then I will do without. Please reconsider your mail order pricing.

I have drunk a LOT of diet cola over the years. I know the flavor of them all. I have had all the flavors of coca cola (Different bottling plants, different recipes, different ratios of syrup), all the flavors of pepsi, all the flavors of the off brands, and all the flavors of the store brands.
I am a cola aficionado. And I believe I can say with authority that this tastes sort of like a blend between RC cola and some of the store brands. It has a very harsh after taste that you tend to find with blends that need some work.
Cola should be sweet with a smooth tangy finish. This recipe has almost a chemical finish which isn't very appealing.
I've played with the syrup ratio to see if it changes the flavor and I've found it improves the flavor if I just put more syrup into the liter tank. But it still isn't quite right.
What you want to go for ideally is either diet coke or diet pepsi. You can improvise on either of those once you have mastered ONE of them. Until then, please keep tweaking this recipe to see if you can't dial it in a bit closer either of the gold standards.

Extremely disappointed

I’ve had SodaStream for several years but only drink soda on occasion...when I’m having a craving. I typically use it for flavored or plain carbonated water. I used to buy the Fountain Style Diet and didn’t realize it had been discontinued. A few days ago I purchased the Diet Cola and I could not believe the difference. It resembles no other soda I have ever drank. It’s a very odd smell and flavor (to the point where I double-checked the “best by” date). Definitely did not satisfy any craving and I won’t be purchasing again.
