Very nice looking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 6 weeks ago and we like it but have had difficulty getting used to it. Our current appliance was failing and we were doing some remodeling in our 1950s kitchen. The space for our refrigerator was very limited so we had to go with something smaller than our current model due to current factory sizes available. The freezer is very small and at the highest setting does not freeze ice cream very hard. It's more of the consistency of soft serve. It's difficult to get to the temperature settings which are at the very back and bottom of both the freezer and refrigerator. Have to move everything out to change the setting. We like the style and look of this model very much. The fingerprint resistant stainless surface is great! We bought a factory certified icemaker and had it installed by a factory certified person. It's very noisy and does not fill the ice bin at a very fast rate but it's adequate. I think we are just having difficulty with the smaller size of the refrigerator. Fine for a family of 2 or 3 but recently had a huge gathering for a long weekend and it was a challenge to find room in the refrigerator for everything. It does the job but not much more.

Great Basic Refrigerator/Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a new competing model by a well known Korean company. It had lots of "features". Only problem was it didn't do anything well. Required a week just to fill it's ice bucket. Took it back and got this Frigidare and have been very satisfied with it's performance so far. Keeps cold food cold, frozen food frozen, and produces enough ice. That's all I need a fridge to do.

Works the way we need it to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old unit with this model. The old unit kept freezing any item on the top shelf of the refrigerator. This unit is much more consistent with temperature, is very flexible regarding shelf configuration, looks really nice in our kitchen and is much more energy efficient. I would prefer that the crisper drawers hold a bit more than they do, but one always must make trade-offs. Light in the freezer is a welcomed addition. "Door open" alarm is also a great feature of this unit! Overall, satisfied with our purchase.

Mixed feelings...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks nice especially with the matching dishwasher and stove. However, I find the half shelf that slide to full insubstantial. It is not big enough for my top shelf when halved but doesn't seem strong in full shelf mode. Worrisome. I love the crisper drawers and they really do keep things fresh.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
