great screen clarity; fast wi-fi; easy to learn

Bought this as an e-reader and like that you gave a sepia tone as background - easier on the eyes. But I'm finding a whole lot more to enjoy with some of the free apps. The voice activation for google is so cool.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fun

I previously had an iPad and I did enjoy it, but nothing compared to my Galaxy Tab 10.1!!! I absolutely use it for EVERYTHING! I don't use my desktop as often, and I don't ever use my laptop. I can't think of one negative thing to say about it. The screen is gorgeous and makes playing games so much more fun! I haven't had to take up any of the storage available for music due to the awesome music app that syncs with Google music and keeps all of my songs ready for me.
Thank you Samsung for such an amazing product! I am surprised at how much I love this tablet and now am Samsung only for all future devices and appliances!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, design

New Android Tablet convert

My wife and son took over my iPad I got for work, so I wanted to try an Android device. I'm so glad I did.
The device is fantastic so far! The front and rear facing camera's are exceptional and have great quality, even at 3MP. I already have a Droid 2 Global so once I signed on with my Google Account everything synced right up! That was unexpected, but appreciated!
I also set up Google Music (also in Beta) and it runs perfectly. I was able to take the tablet to a friends, set up some speakers, plug in and stream from my collection. Another pleasant surprise that took little effort to set up.
Since video chat doesn't work with Skype (at least that I could find) I went and tried GChat with my dad. The video quality was excellent from both ends. Tapping the screen and switching between camera's (front and rear facing) was awesome! It was strange how I had to keep tapping my little image to get it to center and stay still. That was a bit of a pain. I'm sure I'm overlooking something since this is all brand new to me.
I'm still shocked that there are some apps available on my Droid 2 Global, but not on my tablet. I hope that changes. Really need GoToMyPC and GoToMeeting to really make this a part of my daily activities for work. I picked up Quick Office Pro HD and hope that works out for me. I do a lot of proposals and editing of PDF's, so being portable is going to be a necessity. I have Dropbox and will almost always be near WiFi now that I snagged a mobile device from Time Warner.
I am in the Google+ beta as well and the way it ties in with my phone and tablet is just awesome! Quick posts of pics to your stream is very cool. I need more friends added on there before I really can play with it, but what I used so far shows huge potential.
Now if I could please have Hulu+ and Netflix then I'd be all set! And why the Facebook app doesn't work is a bit strange as well.

Great Good Lookin Tablet

This tablet is beautiful, lighter and thinner than iPad 2, good performance and the screen its really good for a TFT LCD. Maybe colors are more saturated but its very bright and have good contrast and not light bleeds. The stereo speaker does a nice job for its size. Try the Asus transformers speakers or even the iPad only speaker to hear the difference. The Transformers speaker we pathetic.
Overall its a great, well builded product with no way to expand its potentia and this is the sad part, no SD slot integrated or mico USB port. Only one proprietary port for charging or connection to pc, dock or other accessories like USB adapter.
If you don't care about expanssions like USB ports or SD card slot this product its great.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: no micro sd card slot, few accessoried avail.

Skype?

I uploaded the app for skype and was disappointed to find that on this product you can not video on skype, This was a real disappointment to me. I am still learning about my new tab, but I have found it a little more complicated for the 1st time user.
Pros: Bright display

I am not a techie, nor even close. I am a regular user, and found this a great product. I have had it now for almost a month. I have used it for downloading children's games for my grand kids, to downloading apps for me. The only drawback is that many of the top 10 or so apps are for apple and the android market is not there yet. However, it is coming fast enough for normal users like me.
The battery life is excellent and I have yet to bring it down past 40% even using it all day and part of the night. It is very fast and I love having the ability to have several programs open at the same time and am able to click on them when I need them. It is very much like my laptop and I have stopped taking it (laptop) with me because I have the tab in my purse. The screen rotation is a bit to get used to when the pad tilts especially when I read in bed. I found that the blue cloths to clean glasses works perfectly to get rid of fingerprints. The only draw back is a spelling program and I have not yet learned how to download the android Mozilla Firefox and use it instead of the internet browser it comes with.
The Wi-Fi connection is fantastic as i can connect anywhere even in those areas with low signal strength.
I think once the market catches up it will outstrip and outshine the IPad. I like it better than the IPad because I can think and do not need someone leading me by the hand. For those of you who are willing to wait for the “special” programs this is the way to go! I cannot tell you about any of the techie stuff and am sure everyone who is has already done so. The galaxy is the way to go and is so light even with the leather cover. Don’t wait buy it!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight, easy enough for non techie;s, has lots of room for apps on the home page, you can read and place icons where you want

I think this is a great tablet. Read the reviews, did a bit of research and decided to buy it, keeping in mind I could return it in 2 weeks. I didn't need to! I would not call myself a power user but this is much better than a smart phone for me. I went back to a "dumb" phone and bought this. I can surf the web, read with the Kindle app, learn french, play games, email and talk with skype..no video skype yet. Screen resolution is beautiful. It has one quirk that I hate! The screen flops around whenever it wants...had to turn auto off. I love it really and it will go to Europe with me for sure.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Not high def
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent piece of engineering. So happy I purchased this tablet; especially when I'm sitting with my roommate and I hear her complain about how slow her Ipad2 is as I fly through the videos and internet (on the same WiFi connection). Purchased the keyboard docking station also. No more notebooks needed!
Only a four on features due to no Netflix or Hulu +. I'm sure it will happen and when it does then it's five stars across the board.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, just awesome, my laptop just became my home computer.
Cons: no netflix or hulu +... yet
