After initially purchasing other android 3.1 tablets I would find it safe to say that the galaxy tab leaves all the competition in the dust.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, compatibility

I love my galaxy tab, I find that i no longer travel as much with may laptop since i bought my galaxy tab, The thin light frame make a great travel companion on long fights. The screen is great for watching movies.
This is the best tablet ever. I thought long and hard about buying one and I truly believe that there is no better product than Galaxy tab 10.1. I use it a lot and I am very satisfied with the product!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a techie / Geek / Nerd, whatever.. and i've bought many electronic gadgets over the years. I went to the store to look at other items altogether, when I saw the tablet section. I just knew I had to get one at first sight. I played with other brands, etc.. and the galaxy 10.1 was by far the best designed tablet out there. Others were clunky or thick with harsh lines or a sub-par screen.
The Samsung Galaxy 10.1 (white) is so good looking its like a piece of art. I love it. As far as its functionality, most tablets have the same cpu/chipset (Tegra 2) so there isn't much difference there. If you have an Android phone then you'll be familiar with how the OS works. The Android Market has thousands and thousands of quality apps.. and I have a great time trying new ones, and customizing the look of my tab with new themes, etc..I haven't been this excited about a purchase in a long time... I feel like a kid at Christmas!
The one drawback is a lack of a usb and sd slot. I was concerned at first, but I found that I don't really need them... and if you do need them, you can buy an adapter that plugs into the bottom port that has both. There are more options online as far as adapters go too.
The bluetooth works great, and allows you to connect a keyboard, mouse or whatever you want.
I think this is the best tablet available at the moment. its so good looking you'll get compliments about it wherever you go. I got the leather case to protect it, along with a stylus to use when I'm surfing the web. I didn't think I needed a screen protector, and I was right. The screen is resistant to scratches, so as long as you're careful, day to day use wont scratch it. Its nice and smooth and I wouldn't want to ruin that by putting on a screen protector. If you have kids though, I would recommend it highly.
I can't recommend this tablet highly enough! I love it! 9/10

This is my first tab and after a day of use I am very happy with my purchase. There are so many things to love about it so I'll jump to my few gripes. Its not a huge deal but when typing online, there is a bit of a lag. I'm typing on it right now and there is a slight delay from when you hit a letter to when it appears in the text box. However, the haptic and visual feedback when you touch the letter is instantaneous. So I don't know what to attribute the lag to. The other thing is the aps and customization available, though I know it is comming. I really hope netflix becomes available soon, I expect it will. This tablet is brighter and more aesthetically appealing than the xoom or ipad2. It is slightly lighter and slimmer than the ipad2. I have read that some find the back plate to be cheap and plasticy to the touch. I don't find that to be the case at all. It has a very smooth solid feel. If you have owned an android phone, you will find your way around this tab quickly. Overall, I'm in love :-)
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 seems like a quality product with an overall good design and feature set but, it is missing a few things. The lack of an SD card slot and the proprietary connector are unfortunate choices in a what I'm sure was intended to be a flagship device. Also, some of the included apps seem to be poorly implemented, almost like they were rushed into production. Hopefully, the apps will be upgraded soon but the hardware misses will always be there.
