I love my Tab

I had been waiting for a solid Android tablet for a while, and I am really glad I waited for the Galaxy tab 10.1. It is powerful, the battery life is amazing, and it has done everything I've asked of it. My only real complaints are:
1. the proprietary cable for charging and/or connecting to the computer instead of a micro or mini USB
2. The cable it comes with can only charge when hooked into an AC power outlet, and not to the computer, which is my preferred way of charging. And to order a cable that will charge through USB requires you to order direct from Samsung, and isn't cheap.
3. The lack of a SD slot is a bit irritating, but is number three on my list of complaints.

Other than those, I adore my Tab, and it goes everywhere with me. I highly recommend finding a local store that has them in stock and giving it a test drive if you're in the market for a good, reliable Android tablet.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: propritary connector, standard cable cannot charge via usb

the galaxy tab is a great computer really to start out with. improvements can be made to the home screen and increase the amount of accesories, but other than that, everything is perfect.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: limited accessories

This is great for my scouting pdf's. I don't have to carry 6 books with me to my meetings. They are all on my Tab.

Not enough accessories yet

Truly an amazing product! As a musician, the tab is invaluable. It holds all of my lyrics and music. The only problem is that they have not come out with a mic stand attachment yet. Unfortunately, the one made for the I pad won't fit because the galaxy is so much smaller. :( Hoping to see more accessories soon.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 vs. Ipad 2

I actually bought both the Ipad 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 at the same time and I have come to use my Galaxy more than the Ipad. Both units are great but I like the Flash Player on the Galaxy as you start to surf more and more on the web you will come to realize how much you need it. Also I like using Quick office on my Galaxy. Using the USB connector I can plug up my flash drive and open work excel, word, or powerpoint files. This tablet has become my pride and joy. Also check out the seagate wireless hard drive it is a great addition to any tablet giving you 500gb of extra storage that wirelessly connects to your tablet or phone.

Great Samsung Hardware terrible google software

This review is going to be hard for me because I think samsung has made a brilliant piece of hardware. Honeycomb is just not finished and feels like an early version of a beta package. Typing is slow to recognize, transitions are slow, it crashes frequently, and sometimes widgets disappear of the from of the tab or just don't work. Its not just my 10.1 its all of the 4 that I have owned or the 10 in stores that I have tried out. I want this tablet to work perfectly at the moment it just doesn't.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, honeycomb is terrible
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
