Yes, the screen is amazing. Size and weight are also unbelievable BUT after playing with the basics (web browsing, customizing pages and downloading apps.) In my opinion Samsung shipped out a 1/2 done job. Finding a manual anywhere is such a hassle and the settings menu seems to be missing a number of options. The 10.1 has apps shutting down when not in use and at times while in use, the no micro SD slot baffles me, the samsung infuse 4G has an 8 megapixel camera and they shipped this out with a 3.0 megapixel. Maybe, like the smartphone evolution; it just takes 3 or 4 models to get it right.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, no micro sd card slot, no usb or hdmi, camera looks grainy on 10.1 in display, user interface lags, no samsung apps
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lets face it, the hardware is beautiful, the specs are there, but somehow the performance still isn't. Camera is amazing, by far the best on any tablet, screen resolution and colors is superb. Size and form factor. Look and feel are awesome as well. Unfortunately if you have used an apple ipad, you have a certain level of expectation, which is not a good thing, on the other hand if you never have, you will find this product to be great. Scrolling isnt quite up to par, force close's happen often.
Also, it may not be samsung's fault, but get on googles case to preasure vendors to produce HC specific apps. No netflix streaming, no HBOGO, no HULU, no Voodoo.

Three weeks after buying my first Galaxy 10.1 I was hit with the reality that I was never going to get to use it...My wife was hooked, so my solution...buy another. This tablet is amazing in the form factor, performance and value!

Ive had it for 1 week and t constantly freezes. its the second one in 2 weeks and both came out as "lemons" or maybe theyre all like this! There"s a variety of tablets and i managed to get one of the higher end ones when performance isnt worth half the price. I guess ill spending more time reviewing the cons next time.

It's really disappointing, Galaxy tab does not run the flash smoothly and the browser crashes all the times. The auto-dimming feature is dumb and keeps darkening the screen and back on while using the tablet.
The rotation sensor is too sensitive and by each tiny move rotates the screen, making it very hard to use.
Also you cannot hook the tablet to a USB port for charging, drag the charger with you everywhere you go!
I also tested the Honeycomb browser against iPad 1 safari, the browsing experience is much smoother and better in iPad!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This tablet is a tablet is just great. Everything that I wanted is included in this small package, like the great display, great functionality, etc. It is truly a great tablet to purchase.

For the price, I just couldn't resist. It has way more options than the iPad for the same price, you can do way more with this & the weight is just amazing.
