Worst Player Ever!

This is the worst bluray player I've ever seen!! I have owned it for about two and a half years and it quit playing bluray's after one year! It is awful and I would never recommend this product to someone else! I will never buy a Philip's product again because of the poor experience that I have had with this one!

I’ve always been a fan of the Philips brand. Their products are always high quality and last a long time. I have yet to buy a Philips brand product that I didn’t like.

Remote is terrible

Remote is terrible, button operation fails frequently during use and must be aimed at the floor a foot in front of the player to work at all, and this is with new batteries. Boot up/power on is very slow. HDMI works correctly. Front USB port is a plus.
Pros: plays usb movies ok convenient loading on front, hdmi works good and interfaces correctly
Cons: terrible remote reliability, slow boot up / turn on

Slow, no updates

This has to be the slowest responding device I've ever used. The remote hardly ever responds properly. You can't disable the autoplay of discs. No software updates. The Netflix app is hardly useable. Can't select profiles, the interface is dated, and horrifically slow. I'm glad I bought this for my son's room and not as a main dvd player. The only good thing I can say is that I've hooked up a hard drive and played videos off of it without too many issues.
