This unit is obviously capable of proving more online services that what it does. Why can't they include these other services? It would get a lot more use in that case. Seems to play media files well, although one mkv file runs at a very bad FPS. Anyway it's a solid player for what it plays
Pros: has neflix and vudu internet capability via wifi, plays many formats, plays blu ray and dvd
Cons: limited internet services, no update in site to upgrade internet services

Don't waste your money.

I received this as a gift and it has only been a headache. The remote control is my biggest complaint. Even with brand new batteries it rarely works. Sure, it has a button to connect you directly to your Netflix or Vudu account, but what good is the button if the sensor doesn't register that you've pressed it (5 times)? Not to mention the fact that I have to unplug the player and plug it back in because it freezes almost every time I use it. Please do not waste your time or money and do not give this as a gift to anyone you actually care about. This player is cheap and absolutely worthless.
Pros: being able to say you own a blu-ray player
Cons: actually owning this particular blu-ray player
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best for PAL and NTSC

Best for PAL and NTSC to use in USA slow loading but work great
Pros: best for pal and ntsc

...I've definitely enjoyed the Blu-Ray player, namely for its accessibility to my Netflix account, which I also enjoy very much. It also allows me to multi-task, whereby my computer doesn't have to be my source for movie watching and/or instant streaming.
Cons: the update never completes.

Great player very happy

This is an excellent player for the money. I am very happy with it. Support for AVI files etc is a great feature. Love being able to use my 35GB USB flash drive flawlessly. Connected wifi @ 150 mbps. The remote could be better but it works so I am happy with it. This system has everything I could ask for and the price is great. I ended up buying a second one for my daughter!

Remote not good. screen stays on off

Remote won't work unless your stright on. My prayer I go to turn off and the off stay on the screen and won't do anything. I have to unplug it to rest and then it works.
I called customer care center and they are replacing the dvd player.

The only thing that I am not thrilled with is the remote. It doesn't react very well. Sometimes you have to almost stand in front of the box to get it to work properly.
Pros: like the features, like the size and design
Cons: needs a better remote

Won't even upgrade - won't save Wi-Fi settings

I just received this and was looking forward to a movie night. 5 hours later, the device won't update to the latest version of the software. The download fails, and for some reason it won't allow a USB upgrade DESPITE the fact that I am following the instructions to the letter.
Meanwhile, it won't save my WiFi settings, so I have to re-enter a password constantly. Terrible product, terrible design. DO NOT BUY.
