Everything about this LCD says "Phillips", however, the colors (especially) Black, is not up to par! The black are almost a dark shade of grey and if the programs you are watching aren't HD then this LCD will pixelate like a $99.00 refurbished knock-off brand LCD. Need.I say more...!

For the features of this Tv, and design it takes very good comments but with a very slow turn on is very undisirable. i wish you can fix that with an update. To the software.

It takes too long for the picture to come in. The remote is not that easy to operate. The settings are not adequate. I have owned Phillips products before and thoroughly enjoyed them all however I don't think I would purchase or recommend this product.

I had a Philips TV when I was in France. I like this brand. Since I'm in the US, I bought a Philips 32". Then I replaced it by this 40" screen. I choose this model because there's a lot of good reviews on stores'website.
And I also wanted this TV for MediaConnect. To link a computer to the TV with no wire, I wanted to try that.
The thing is that MediaConnect is not compatible with Mac.
I hope Philips is doing something to fix that.
Otherwise, it's a very good TV.

Punch a button, go get lunch, something happens and if lucky it is doing something when I get back and somehow related to the button that was pushed. Netflix is especially slow and vague. My cellphone works better. Nice picture, though.

I wouldn't pay money for this tv

I'm glad that I won it in a raffle, because it's not worth the money. I replaced my 52" Samsung LCD tv with this one just because it is a bit bigger and thinner. The Samsung is about 2 years old. I've had this Phillips installed for about 2 weeks. It is nothing like the Samsung! The Samsung is SO much better! I already have a red vertical line in the screen that I can't get to go away. The Net TV is pretty nice, but they all pretty much come with something similar. The Media Connect isn't great. It constantly drops out. It's a super cool concept, but it just doesn't work that great. The sound is ok, nothing special. Bottom line is, buy something else. Any future purchases will probably be Samsung for me.

Cons: quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
