I bought this unit to supplement my home's central AC which having trouble keeping the living room area cool due to vaulted ceiling. I was really surprised to hear no vibration from the unit. It doesn't sound like it's drawing a lot of electricity to do the job and it does the job well. We don't need to use the ceiling fan or oscillating fans in the living room area anymore and we can watch TV and movies in comfort. I especially like the energy saving feature which basically turns the unit fan off when the AC is not blowing. A minor con is the cover doesn't attach well. It seems like I'll be putting tape on it some time in the future to hold it on. Seems cheaply made (the cover that is).
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings

Keeping cool

We have an open-beamed ceiling (no insulation) in our familty room, which is open to the dining room and in turn wide open to the living room and we needed cool. We like this A/C unit so well that we got three more, portable LG's for out bedrooms. The funny thing is the electric bill is about the same as when we were running a bunch of fans.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

Purchased this unit when our central a/c went out in the middle of summer. with all the bedroom doors open and the ceiling fans running it actually does a better job than the central a/c did! Kept our 1200 s.f. ranch style home nice an cool (74F) all summer, and the bonus was our electric bill actually went down by about a $100.00!! Now I am in no hurry at all to replace our central unit. This thing paid for itself in 1 summer!
Pros: Performance, Quality

Works great. Easy to set up. Have to be careful when installing the front cover as the tabs can brake easily.

Don't waste your money

I bought this to replace a 1200 BTU unit (not an LG unit) and wish I hadn't wasted my money. The smaller unit kept the whole apartment cool, kept the furthest area away from the AC unit at 62 degrees when set at 60. The 15000 LG unit can't even cool down the 150 square foot bedroom and the rest of the apartment is at 68 when the unit is set on 60 and at the highest settings. It has some nice features but that doesn't matter when I'm sweating with the unit set on the coldest settings. Hoping I can get some help to pull this huge waste of money out of the window and that I can trade it in on another brand.
