Works Great with one exception

I really like this range; it replaces a 20+ Jenn Aire. The only annoying thing about it is that the electronic control panel is way too sensitive. This evening, the controls locked and I never touch it (just standing in front of it). Sometimes the oven will cancel while I’m checking the progress of the food. I hoped there was a way to adjust the sensitivity but aside from calling a technician, it can’t be done.

Range is 8 years old and I have not had any issues. until now.Convection fan is making sounds and i cant see to find the part number for a replacement fan .

“Excellent-ish”

We’ve owned this GE dual-fuel range for three years and it’s an excellent cooking appliance. The top gas burners are powerful yet finely adjustable down to a very low simmer. We covered the 5th middle (oblong) burner with the griddle plate, which gives us flexibility. Build quality is very solid as expected for a high end range at this price. Unfortunately, we did have recurring failures with the oven temperature probe. We don’t usually roast meat in the oven except for holiday meals (rib roast, turkey, tenderloin, etc.), so when our probe failed on two separate holiday occasions it could’ve ruined the expensive meat. After each occasion the probe was repaired under warranty. The first repair didn’t resolve the problem but we didn’t realize it wasn’t working until the next big holiday roast when the probe failed again. The second repair fixed the issue and the probe is working well. In fact, roasting with the oven probe is virtually foolproof. I think this range otherwise would deserve 5 stars, except the probe problem compels me to deduct a star. I would definitely recommend this GE range and I’d buy it again. Pro tip: Invest in the extended warranty.

high btu burner failure

have had this range for almost 9 years and many family meals- have needed to replace the high btu burner assembly twice due to warping (and need to replace yet again); the igniter on that burner has failed and now need to light it manually; center burner is rarely used due to functionality; oven features are nice, warming drawer is a plus... very disappointed that at this price point there have been consistent failures. currently shopping for another range and it won't be a GE

Good, but front burner BTU issues

We experienced the same issue and now we have to wait until JUNE until the new assembly arrives. That means working with a partial working stove for 2+ months. Not good.
I list no to recommend to a friend, but actually it is a yes, but with reservations. The burner warping seems like a manufacturing issue. Then to take 2+ months to resolve it...not great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features and great for a small kitchen

I have a small kitchen and having the extra baking drawer is essential. I highly recommend a gas range, but having an electric oven is the best. It’s worth the money.
