Better than average

This is a good looking range and we are happy with our choice. My only complaint would be that none of the burners are small enough to be able to gently simmer. If you need to simmer anything you will need to stir constantly to avoid burning.

Great "Cafe" Range!

In two previous kitchen remodels we had been able to have countertop style (gas) cook tops and separate (electric) wall ovens. So when it came to finding a free-standing range for the space in our new house, it was important to find the closes to what we preferred. The GE Cafe dual fuel range was the perfect choice, and we love it! Not only do we have a variety of flame options on the burners, but we also have a large main oven which heats evenly and a small lower oven that not only is a warming oven but a second oven for baking! We could not be happier.

Don't buy if you don't like fan noise!

Just hooked up my new stove after saving up for 3 years and waiting a week for the gas line to be installed- couldn't have been more excited... until I turned it on. And the sound of a bath vent fan came on (with the regular bake cycle - not convection!) And it stayed on the whole time, and after I was done baking and the oven was off- for more than a half an hour! The convection oven fan noise is actually about half as loud. Called assuming that this was obviously a malfunction, and was told by support that this is "normal" and to "preserve the life of the oven and controls". Crazy! I have an older model dual-fuel convection range from GE and it does not do this- nor is it mentioned anywhere in the manual or in the product description. It will be returned!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had stove several weeks now. Dual burner does not go low enough to simmer food. It leaves it at slow boil. GE should either fix that or include defuser. Haven't had problem with knobs getting hot. Wish oven had easy glide oven racks. Racks don't seem to slide very well. Oven exhaust fan is loud and runs constantly while oven is in use. If they would fix a few of these features than it would be worth price.

We bought the dual-fuel model during a kitchen remodel and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, we moved and left it, and all our other GE Cafe appliances behind. I'm now dreaming of doing another kitchen remodel in our new house, and would pick the exact same appliances again. The range is beautiful, spacious, and cooks perfectly. I think that our GE Cafe appliances really helped to sell our house, but I miss them!

Sleek look, nice features

We are happy with our purchase. The stove works well, so does the cook top. Not sure if the cookie drawer is a good idea, there is no glass front to watch the food cook. The item is a little bit overpriced, thus the 4 stars.

Dual fuel is awesome

Wanted to transition back to gas and found that this dual fuel stove fit the bill perfectly. Having the ability to move pots and pans seamlessly across the cooking surface is wonderful -- no more wondering how I will get my 12in. sauté pan to heat evenly. I love my new Cafe dual fuel stove. My kitchen is now complete.

Wonderful stove!

I bought this duel fuel range about 6 weeks ago and I LOVE it! It cooks like a dream, and cleans up with ease. Some of the reviews expressed concern about the knobs, or the noise of the oven, or the quality of the stainless. I honestly don't know what they were talking about. The knobs are solid. The oven fan is NOT noisy. The stainless is lovely and EASY to clean. We bought this range at a local appliance store and the owner assured me that this is their best seller and that they've had no complaints from customers. I've been cooking for over 40 years and this is my best range ever.
Do not hesitate to buy it if it meets your space needs!
