Solid looks, poor flame control.

The unit is roughly 9 months old and we are still trying to adjust to the fact the burners, even on the lowest setting, overheat whatever is being cooked. The technician who installed the unit adjusted the burners once, but we need to have him back again to see if further tweaking is possible. The electric oven works great, by contrast.
I redid my kitchen and really wanted the cafe series in gas. However, the cost to put gas into my kitchen wasn't in the budget so I had to keep electric. I spent a lot of time trying to decide on my range. After many appliance dealerships later I chose the cafe series range with baking drawer. So far I really like the appliance. The baking drawer I one of he best features. I use it all the time. My only complaint would be you really have to be careful with the baking time. I find that I need less with most recipes. I really like the look of the range except for the lines that outline the burners. However, now that I have been using the appliance I don't mind it as much.
I am completely satisfied with my new GE Cafe Dual Fuel Range. It is a pleasure to use. The gas burners make heat control a breeze. Its appearance is so attractive that it is an enhancement to my kitchen.
This is the second GE Cafe Series stove I have owned and the precision of the burners is outstanding. Every feature delivers as the quality is excellent.
Have had this 2 months. Like every feature. Easy to clean Stainless Steel stove top. Love convection baking. Having each burner different for its purpose is great. We especially enjoy having the griddle handy all the time.
