One year old and constantly giving errors

one year old and constantly shutting down, gives various error messages, remote is buggy, guide is multiplying channels and unresponsive, was great for a while and then started to have problems, restart, reset to default settings etc, nothing work
I purchased this TV brand new for a large amount of money and within weeks it was already messing up. 6 months in, it started randomly going black screen with volume. It stopped for a while and now is on black screen 95% of the time no matter how many times I reset and which method I reset. I will never buy Sony again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Google controlling the Smart part of this TV is awful. I have to deal with pop ups, the TV shutting down or rebooting automatically. The 3D doesn't perform as it should. Many issues to deal with in 3D.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this a couple of years ago and I’m really happy with it. That said, my next TV will be a Samsung again. I prefer the brighter colors. They say Sony produces more “real” color, I prefer the vivid colors of Samsung.
Great TV. Unfortunately it took three warranty replacements to get to this point.
