Excellent Picture but no Amazon or Directv 4K

Picture is awesome. Netflix 4K looks better than thru the 4K media player I needed for my old Sony 4K set.
However, I upgraded because this website said Amazon 4K streaming was available and it is also Directv 4K ready. Neither is true. I hope these are added soon.

Great TV with great picture. My only complaint is the 3D requires active 3D glasses instead of the passive glasses like used at the movie theater. Otherwise awesome TV.

Screen Refresh Rate?

I just installed the XBR65X850C. i looked online and can't find the screen refresh rate. It says Motionflow 960 but that is meaningless.
Other than that it looks OK.
Reds are a little too blooming but if you turn the color down a bit
it's ok.

We had a 32" SONY flat screen TV, which was great for a small area, but when we bought our house, we needed a larger TV for the Great Room--so we looked at the SONY's first, and stopped there! Having a good relationship with Best Buy people from other house purchases, we spoke with a great salesperson, Cody, in their Home Theater Dept., who put everything together for us! He was patient, courteous, personable, and knowledgeable--and we're very pleased with our whole purchasing experience!

Awesome TV. But no Skype app

Its obviously awesome product from Sony. But I am used to use build-in Skype app on my Sony TV from 3yrs. I don't know why Sony removed built-in Skype app in new 2015 series and also couldn't able to find the app in Sony store or play store.

Good Quality

I was impressed when I looked at the Sony 65” 4K but I should had kept in mind the store I purchased it from had the tv configured to the best quality it can display, including the sound.
I already had a Sony 3D Blu-Ray surround at home so I thought I was set, wrong and the sales person, also wrong in telling me these units would work fine with each other. Back to my surround system, even though I was able to setup the units to work with each other the 4K HDMI is not compatible with my surround unless I used a Digital Optical Audio cable.
I did not want to purchase a new 3D surround but I feel I may need to, because when you invest in a unit such as the Sony 4K Ultra HD you really need the sound as well otherwise you are missing out.
In short, if you set this system up the way Sony intended, you will not be unhappy.
I would recommend this to a friend!
