The ad leads one to believe 'Flossing isn't necessary' if you use this item. Well, I went a week without flossing and used this item 3X a day and it left me racing for the floss. I was greatly disappointed. I have other Philips items that I utilize on a daily bases but this isn't one of them that I would recommend. Yes, I brushed my teeth on a daily basis (2X a day).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just went to the dentist for my 6 month cleaning. I had used my airfloss for about 2 months before going. My hygenist kept commenting on how good my teeth were, she didn't have much to do and she finished quicker than usually. I really like how my teeth and mouth feels after using. You do have to make sure you position it in the right place at your gum line,after a few uses you get the hang of it.
Pros: excellent dental exam
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'd rather use floss. This product requires me to point at each tooth - one by one. It takes forever and if I miss, it hurts my gums. I keep hoping it will break and then I can go back to what I had before! I keep trying to use it, thinking it will get easier but it is just annoying.

Great for people who do not floss

The airfloss does not remove everything between your teeth. It does remove some of the food debris and plaque. I floss my teeth daily and I feel that airfloss cannot replace flossing. However, for anyone who does not floss often, this product is a neat tool to help remove some of the debris to give you a somewhat healthy mouth.
Pros: uses the same charger as the sonicare toothbrush
Cons: only hold a little bit of water, have to refill a few times to cover entire mouth

Not as useful as I thought it would be - works best for wide gaps. Design of the panel that seals the small chamber holding fluid seems designed to fail. But a useful addition to the arsenal against bacteria. Try to alternate with flossing.
Pros: convenient
Cons: average effectiveness

I have used this at least twice a day since I purchased it at my dentists office.
Once you have had the experience of the clean feeling, even though you may have already flossed, you will want to use it regularly!
I even pack it for travel because I don't want to be without it!
It is a great asset if you want to maintain superior dental health!
