This is a very effective way to floss - much better than the string like material.

My hygenist and dentist are very pleased with the results - I have been using the air floss device for about 1 year now.
There are two problems however - 1. The water reservoir is too small - it won't make it at 2 pulses all the way around my mouth. 2. In one year's use I am on my 3rd air floss. You replaced the initial one I had purchased and that unit also failed after a short period. They are not nearly as reliable as your sonicare toothbrush which I also have and use regularly.
Easy to use and easy to charger no cord to mess with.
Pros: cord-less, light
Cons: water spatter

Great idea, but water storage unit needs to be re-designed

The product seems to project water between the teeth, but if you have really tight contacts between your teeth like I do, it may not work that effectively. I seem to have water spraying to the sides of my teeth and onto my gums more than i have water going between my teeth. Biggest concern is that the water storage unit does not completely dry out, even if you empty it after use. Consequently, my storage unit has developed mildew, and there does not appear to be an easy way to clean it out.
I must admit that flossing hasn't been "my thing" and, along with bad genetics, have paid the price both literally and figuratively. I bought the Philips Sonicare AirFloss thinking that this was my last-ditch chance to achieve good gum health. It worked. It's simple and quick to use and I love the way it makes my teeth and mouth feel. After 2 months of use, my dentist said she had never seen my mouth look so good. My periodontist was similarly impressed.
Easy to use. Strong blast. I doubt of its as effective as flossing. Would like to see documented comparative tests.

Easy to use. Strong blast for knocking food particles out, but not sure if that is good enough to also remove plaque. I doubt of its as effective as flossing. I also have concern on whether it can damage gum tissues. Would like to see documented, comparative tests, by a reputable lab, independent from Phillips.
Pros: strong blast for knocking food out.
Cons: show independant lab tests showing effectiveness

I used it twice a day for 2 months and then it just stopped working. I threw it away and won't buy another one. I"m sorry I bought it now. Dental Floss seems just as effective.

I would not recommend this product. Does not sit well in base, Fell over and nozzle broke off. Could not find replacement in local stores and ordered on line. After receiving new nozzles, found out the whole thing doesn't work.

Works great in removing food under my bridges that I cannot reach with dental floss.
