My husband really seems to like this and he hates to do anything above and beyond brushing ;) The only downside is it sprays all over the mirror :O but that could be the operator! I haven't tried it yet, but my husband said he'll use it in the shower so he doesn't make a mess!

Does not clean out food like a water pic

Water compartment door too loose (has to be held closed). Water cannot be pre warmed like on a water pic. Low water volume cools immediatelly, (warm water is less shock to teeth). Only removes about half the food particles of a water pic. What it does remove stays in your mouth (water pic water volume washes it into the sink). Using mouthwash in it only makes a foamy mess; loosing visibility of where you are working. May be useful only to someone who does not floss or water pic at all.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased two of the Sonicare air flossers, one for my wife, and a couple of weeks later, one for myself. My wife's air flosser quit working after approximately two months. I am currently waiting to see what Philips will do as far as standing behind their warranty.
Pros: excellent idea
Cons: doesn't last

We travel frequently and purchased the Philips Sonicare AirFloss for use primarily when we are away from home. We found that it did an excellent job and like it so much, that we now use it in our daily teeth cleaning regimen along with our Sonicare toothbrush.

I have been using the AirFloss for 4 months now, just had my first cleaning appointment since starting to use it. My hygienist was amazed at the improvement in my gums and reduced plaque which usually develops on my lower anteriors. Amazing results.

This is a good addition to the flossing brushing tooth care in our house. I add a bit of mouthwash to the water in the fluid hole, snap the cover on and I get 2-3 floss air bursts between each tooth .Especially good for seed removal and the food trap problems . I like this tool.
Pros: can be used easily any time.
Cons: must get used to the air blast in mouth .
