I have several crowns and this product gets all the food out from under them. I use it a couple of times after brushing my teeth to make sure I get all the food out. I even use it after eating if I feel like there is food stuck. I have had great checkups using this product. The only issue I have is where you press the button to activate the burst of air/mouthwash. This seems to be touchy and sometimes makes a weird sound when I'm not pressing in just the right place.
i bought this for my boyfriend who doesnt like to floss so i figured this would be a great alternative, he used it once and it didnt get the food out like the regular string floss, its good to flush the pockets out but i would not buy another, or recommend it to my patients. I am a dental hygienist i would recommend the water pick

The design is so good because the mouthwash tank holds just enough mouthwash to wash all your gaps between the teeth. It is lightweight and comfortable to hold. It is easy to pack for a trip. The charge lasts a long time. I love mine!
Takes a bit to get used to but then when you see what you missed after you brushed and used this, you will want to use it! I used to get the floss stuck in my teeth and this helps me get where I can't floss.
Pros: healthy gums!
Cons: can be a little hard on a sensitive area
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am always in doubt if my teeth/gums are sufficiently cleaned after using this product. I used a regular type water pick before and was more certain. My cleaning appointment last week did not identify any issues, but my dental hygienist has never seen this AirFloss and she had no opinion on it. However, she did say that I need to make sure to point the head not towards the gum, so that it does not 'shoot' the junk under the gum tissue, which of course would degeat the purpose of the AirFlosser. I have been trying to follow that advice, but still am not sure if I do it right. Wouldn't feel comfortable recommending this product to others because of my own doubt.

I like to keep my reviews factual so please bear with me.
I bought one for my husband and one for me. We use it twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening). Prior to using the AirFloss my husband's dental visits were painful. He had a combination of pockets that were primarily rated 6's and 4's. The only change in his at home dental care was using the air floss in place of regular floss. Result--no pockets rated 6s, the pockets rated 4 had improved to 3 and 2. Again, similar story. Prior to using the AirFloss I had pockets of 4 and 3. The only change in my daily dental health care regime was using the air floss. Result-no pockets rated 4, 2 pockets rated 3 and the rest were 2 and 1. We expect that come the next dentist visit we will continue to see improvement in our gum health.
Both my husband and I love this product. It demonstrated results for us, and as a result we have been able to reduce our dental cleaning appointments from 4 times a year to 2 based upon our dentist's recommendation.
So to net this out. Product has worked great for us.
Pros: easy to use, mouth feels cleaner after using, faster flossing, contributes to reduced dental costs., no fooling around with pieces of string.
I purchased this at my dentist's recommendation. I have long suffered from too deep pockets at my gum lines. In addition, my teeth are close together, which makes it difficult to floss without getting the floss stuck in my teeth. This takes just a minute and the long neck on the appliance makes it super easy to get to back teeth and gum areas. I chose to use a pre-brushing rinse with whitener with my flosser. At first attempts, the blast caused my gums to bleed slightly, which highlights their fragile nature. After the 4th day, the gums quit bleeding, which means they are toughening up and I may not have this ongoing issue next time I get my teeth cleaned. I was surprised at how effective the blast is in knocking particles out from between the teeth. My mouth feels fresh and the gums look healthier. Only my next dental visit will tell how effective it really is. If there were any flaw to the flosser, it is the design of the liquid depository, making it not as easy to fill as I would like, but it is a small annoyance. And if it really bothered me, I would just go with the air blast. Overall, I am pleased with the AirFloss. I purchased them for my young-adult children who take more time with this than they did with regular flossing, and look forward to better check-ups from them, too!
