I have had three in the past year because the base keeps cracking. At first I thought it was because of the base design which resulted in it falling over. But with the second one I devised my own base cover to prevent it falling and it still cracked. I have had the last one for about a month and so far it is not cracking. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I like it when it is working; it seems to do a good job of flossing in a short amount of time.
It is easy to use, but I don't feel clean after I use the air flossing though, maybe because I have been use floss picks for a long time, it is new to me. I usually have to refill the water at least one each time I use it.
The Philips' Flos saves time, water and fuss without clothing muss. The electric tooth brush makes a pair for even better dental care. Three or more times a day dental care does not get in the way.
Even though I floss daily with regular dental floss, my dentist recommended me to use an additional device since my gums are still not in best condition. I had an alternative product for a while, but did not like to use it, so I looked for an alternative and gave the AirFloss a try.
What I really like is the ease of use. We have a fairly small bathroom and it does not take up much room near the sink. I don't mind regular flossing at night, but everyone know how it is in the morning - every minute counts. With the AirFloss, it's done in no time. I use a mouthwash in it instead of regular water, and it works great.
At night, I also use regular floss, and I think that that is still a necessity as the AirFloss is not as thorough as the usage of regular floss. That's why I took one star away for performance. However, I think it is a great way to improve one's oral health and I would recommend using it.
Pros: easy to use, does not take much space, does not take much time, easily removes food remnants
If you're expecting a typical water jet floss, this isn't it, but the small pulse of air and water does a very effective job of flossing. Great for travel!!!
Pros: very effective
Cons: need to learn how to use it properly - maybe two d
