Bang for your buck –can’t beat the Noika Windows Phone – Plugged it into my Home PC – once – and every time I’m home backs up the whole phone on my PC- Cost ¼ of the I-Phone I Had. If I drop it I can buy 4 of them for the price of one I-Phone!!!! Plus Battery last 3 times longer than my I-Phone!

The Nokia 1520 is the perfect size for my daily life

At first I thought the 1520 would be too large. But once I had it in my hand those thoughts were immediately gone. I have a full size tablet, the Surface. But, I don't carry it with me everywhere I go. But I do carry my phone with me. But often the phone is too small for any tablet type work to be done.
What I like best about the 1520 is: Fast and efficient in accessing Email, Services and the Internet Sync with SkyDrive Clarity of the Screen in varied places Long battery life Large body, but light in weight. (I come from a 920, and in comparison they are very similar) 32g storage plus 64g card plus SkyDrive integration means I NEVER run out of room
What I didn't care for about the 1520 is: One of the stock cases I purchased covers the power button to an extent that makes it difficult to access There are some features from the Galaxy Note 3 that are attractive, like Multi Screen, Stylus, and the Action item with Stylus. Lack of Wireless charging solution. I know this is NOT a Nokia issue, but I am impacted anyway.
After a week of ownership, I am ecstatic about owning the 1520. I love Windows Phone and 1520 does Windows Phone best.

Sleek phone that you will definitely need a case for.

Starting off with the phone i had. I come from an iPhone 4 and 5.
screen:5/5 looks amazing and huge. It can be use with gloves that are not too thick. I was able to use it with my cycling shell gloves, but not with my ski gloves that are super thick. It looks much sharper than the iPhones screen comparing the sharpness of it.
apps:4/5 There are a lot of apps. but for those of you that come from another OS that has apps like snap chat, theres is no snap chat on windows still. other than that it seems to have all the apps i need. AND MOST OF THEM ARE FREE or they will let you try it out first before you buy, that a lone is a big plus.
Design: 4/5 The phone has a sleek design. very slippery though so you will definitely need a case for it. There is a big problem how is the main camera mounted though. since the main camera in the back of the phone protrudes out every time you set your phone down you set it down on the camera, which already caused a scratch on the glass element while waiting for my case to arrive. In my opinion they should of make the bezel around the camera protrude more and the glass element a little bit inward so it won't be even with the back shell. BE CAREFULL
Speaker: 5/5 comparing it to iPhone 4 and 5. Stop, there is no comparison. The lumia is at least twice as loud if not a little bit louder than the iPhone. plus the lumia you can here the vocals much better than the iPhone. the iPhone speaker sounds thin and is more like a tweeter instead of a speaker. I use my iPhone speaker in the shower when I'm getting ready to go out and the shower drowns it out. with the lumia i can set it 20/30 and i can hear it perfect. I can still go 10 more louder.
Charger:3/5 As far as the micro usb charger goes I'm not too ok with that. since when I'm charging it it feels loose inside the phone. it still charges but feels loose. Maybe a magnet charger would of been better?
camera quality:4.5/5 I've tested out the camera quality in a party with very dim lighting. the camera does get motion blur when some one is moving around and your trying to capture that but face it. its a phone camera. when everyone is settled down and facing the camera to take a picture, even in a pitch black situation the camera will still be able to take a great sharp picture because it lights you up before the picture so it can focus then fires the flashes. the pictures come out really sharp comparing it to the iPhone photos. MUCH sharper and better looking contrast.
OS: 3/5 I have no idea why when i switched my contacts from iPhone to this phone it puts them in hotmail or google???? I want my contacts to stay just contacts. and i don't want everyone i use to email in hotmail or google in my contact list. I had to delete about 300 people in the list ONE BY ONE because there was also no option to delete in bulk like the email options.i spend so much time deleting all those useless contacts off my phone. the other thing is when you add a new contact it makes you put it in hotmail or google. there is no option to just put it on the phone with out having to go trough those two.

The 1520 is a fantastic device

I was skeptical about buying this phone due to its sheer size, but after looking into its specs, I figured, I'd live with whatever the repercussions of my decision....so I bought it. I am NOT disappointed. Before this I had the HTC 8X which was a fantastic device, but between the audio capabilities, camera, processing speed, and GDR3 update this phone was worth every penny. As I mentioned previously the size was a little ominous for me, but after a week of use it became the most comfortable device I have ever used. It takes a little while to get used to, but as soon as you do any regular sized phone starts to feel like a toy in your hand. All in all, Nokia has made a well built, comfortable to use, beautiful "phablet"

I am a die-hard android user I swapped my Note 3 with this beast
Good: Display best one out there, build quality is awesome, camera is awesome, speaker is awesome, and Keyboard is awesome, Kudos to Windows Phone dev.
Bad: Not easy as I am too used to it with android, major problem is transferring files from Mac, not easy, I watched movies a lot on my phone, I need to transfer files imply like I did on my android phone, I can even FTP to my android phone, Still don't know which Windows Phone 8 features. I need to install new fonts like I do it on my windows 7, how can I do it on Windows Phone 8. This is one major disappointment.
I really wish Nokia didn't limit itself with Windows, I would be happy to buy this phone with Android installed :D Cheers

A Bigger Windows Phone Fan

This phone is everything that made me love my 920... only bigger. The 1520 is everything a Smartphone is really supposed to be... a computer (as in, I can write my own apps for it), a phone (it's personal, still pocket sized, I can take it with me) and in this form factor, it's also a small tablet.

Nokia 1520 is a great phone, the one thing that, i don't like about it. Doesn't have lot of red accessories for nokia 1520 or general.
