As a die-hard iPhone user I was skeptical that any other phone could compete, but boy was I wrong! This phone is head and shoulders above any of them. The live tiles are sophisticated, the interface is fast and bug free, and the camera is almost as good as my husbands DSLR. Add to that the ease of use (even an old grandma like me can master it) and this is the best phone I've ever had.
For the doubters, this phone is very fast. The apps open immediately and I haven't had any trouble with them hanging or crashing. Most of the apps I used on my iPhone are available on Windows, are free, and work better. The phone is big, and while I am small, I have no problems holding onto it or tossing it in my bag. In fact, the larger size lets me do most of my work on it so I don't have to carry a tablet around with me too. And then there's the camera - wow! Beautiful photos with no effort on my part.
If you're still on the fence, consider the fact that you get more storage, and the capability for even more removable storage, for less money. It's really a no brainer. I've told everyone I know what a great phone this is, and I'll never go back. Totally happy and a Lumia convert!

Excellent phone

The screen is clear, perfect size and touch is precise. The phone construction is top notch, feels expensive but confident it wont break if dropped. Performance whether with game apps, phone calls, surfing web really everything you ask it to do it does without delay, unlike my Note 2, great phone but would hang from time to time. Software, 8.1 is awesome, easy to use and intuitive. Add exceptional battery life, (2 full days when needed) and you can't go wrong. Only issue is a spot on screen with white background about half way up in middle of screen (a small bright spot of light) showed up on my first one, warranty replaced it but new one is a year old and notice, while faint, the same spot in the same area. No deal killer as it can only be seen with white background. Would like to see stylus on next one.

I switched from iPhone because I got tired of reading the small screen. I tried Android system, but I could not get used to navigating through them. I liked the screen and clarity of it, and the Windows system was easy to use. My only 'conflict' comes with apps: not many of them and some I had in my iPhone do not work the same or offer the same.
But overall, I will recommend this phone!
