Good looking refrigerator and great features!

We love this refrigerator! It’s so spacious inside, we have no trouble finding certain items, no more losing that single piece of pie! It took it 4 days to start making ice, but when it did, wow! I love that shelf that can be slid back to accommodate taller items. Genius! The temperature of the refrigerator is cold! My old refrigerator was cool at best, I love the controls on the outside of the door, if I need to adjust the temperature, no need to open the door. The ice and water in the door is so handy, I love that feature! The only problem, and it’s not really a problem, is we had to get used to making sure the right side of the freezer is closed all the way, a slight push on the right side and it seals up tight. I have learned that if I push the freezer shelf to the back before closing the door, if seals tight with no further effort. Overall, this refrigerator meets all my expectations at a great price point, plus it’s a beautiful refrigerator, I love the no fingerprints, it makes cleaning effortless.
I would recommend this to a friend!

No Owner's Manual included with product delivery.

I bought this product a 3 months ago. GE did not include the owners manual with the delivery. I find this appalling and unsatisfactory. As a consumer, I should not have to download a manual and print it out if need be. I am simply trying to change the temperature for the freezer and the instructions are not intuitive. Again this should be a simple straight-forward step for a consumer. Why GE have you not simplified this step. Reviewing the online manual refers me to a "Controls Section." The Controls Section is not called out in the Table of Contents, again a simple thing to do for your consumers. Please think of your consumers when packaging and delivering appliances going forward. And if you elect not to provide an owner's manual, please set my expectation by letting me know in advance. That way, I will plan for these inconveniences in advance.

We are more than happy to provide guidance with this refrigerator. You can change the temperature in the Freezer section by clicking the Freezer button the control panel. The temperature will first go up before it goes back down, you will need to click this button continually until you reach the desired temperature. As part of our ongoing effort to be better ambassadors of the environment, we no longer offer printed literature such as Owner’s Manuals. By moving to electronic-only delivery formats, we not only do more to preserve the environment, we also ensure that only the latest version of the document is provided you. You can always access the latest version of literature for your model by searching for your model number on our GE Appliances website.

We'd like to assist you with your refrigerator's control panel as well as the build-up of conensation. If there is too much moisture (condensation) present for the refrigerator to remove, the moisture will build up on the interior. Moisture in the form of frost or ice can also build up in the freezer compartment.
We recommend referring to the article below for guidance: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=19186
As far as the control panel, we recommend referring to the troubleshooting in the article here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21758
A member of our team will be reaching out to you via email to gather additional information. Please respond at your earliest convenience.

Icemaker is tiny. The cubes come out pretty violently. The filters for the system are very expensive. The bottom drawer in the refrigerator can’t really be opened unless you swing the refrigerator doors all the way out I will say the freezer compartment is huge, but the refrigerator part feels cramped.

We're going to be passing your comments about the size of the icemaker, bottom drawer, and capacity over to our product team to review.
In regards to the ice shooting out of the dispenser, we have some troubleshooting tips that can help. Ice may spray over the side of the glass if the glass is held to far from the dispenser chute. Holding the glass approximately one inch from the dispenser chute will correct this. We also recommend checking for a water line restriction, as this can cause smaller than normal ice cube production.
The filter pricing can be dependent on several factors. The economic elements include distribution, warehousing, and marketing costs, which account for a portion of the selling price of the part. However, your refrigerator does come with a bypass plug, which allows the dispenser to be used without a filter. If you are missing your bypass plug, we can send this out for free. Just give our Bodewell team a call at 1-833-426-3393.

Where Do I Start
on June 25, 2025

We wanted features as close as possible to our 10 yr old Samsung like split shelving and the deli drawer. Right off, we started getting horrible frost "hair" in the freezer, and items in the deli drawer of the refrigerator were freezing solid. They determined that the rubber seal was faulty, so it was replaced. Both problems still exist, so now they think the front panel of the freezer drawer is warped and have one on order. The refrigerator recommended temp is 37º, which the upper portion is holding, unfortunately it is a steady 25º in the deli drawer. The light button on the door panel never worked, however the light operated fine when getting ice, water, etc. The operating panel for these items is very hard to see nor is it back-lit. The split veg/fruit crispers cannot be opened on their respective side, both doors must be opened, livable but annoying. Recently we have started to hear an occasional loud grind/whine noise when it runs, which I see noted in other reviews. One nice feature is the ice maker is contained completely in the door which leaves more fridge space available. Tonight I noticed that the finish is already wearing on the tab that you push your cup against. We're 3 months in, I am not at all impressed.

We want to help out with the multiple service appointments you've experienced with your refrigerator and the sound you are noticing during operation. We will be reaching out over email to collect additional information. In the meantime, we are going to share some information about these issues below.
For the dispenser tab, we recommend trying to clean the spot with warm water and a mild detergent.
In regards to the dispenser light button not operating, we do recommend trying an electronic reset. This can be performed by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.
We're also going to be forwarding your comments about the crispers and drawers over to our product team to review. Also, this model does come with quick space shelving. This allows you to quickly slide the bottom shelf down to make room for larger items. You can view this video for more information: https://youtu.be/klcdPiNekSQ
