Love the Black Slate

My wife loves the Black Slate color, so far the refrigerator is doing great, my only complaint is the ice maker makes a grinding noise when dispensing cubes of ice.

French Doors have a built in stop preventing them from closing by themselves. Asinine!
Shelf above pull out draws is an inch too low, you can't even fit a quart of milk or OJ on the shelf.

We absolutely love our new GE Energy Saver! It fits so perfectly in our Mobile home and the color match is perfect! It is very spacious and so easy to stock and sort food. It don’t lose things in the freezer or have to pull everything out to find something. This is the absolute BEST REFRIGERATOR we have ever purchased!

One minor defect

I like that I have much room compared to the older (2006) one I had before. There may be a design defect in the left door as the slate painting is cracked/peeling around the ice/water dispenser surround. It is the area where the steel bends inwards for the ice-maker surround insert area. Seems this is a known issue where rust starts. I have attempted to seal this with clear silicone, masking tape, gloves, and about one hour of my time to remedy this issue.
Other than that, the machine is quiet. Even when making ice it is much quieter than my previous appliance. The water coming out is very cold - like it! I'll see how long the filter lasts.
