nice fridge, but the freezer door handle came off

Bad Compressor - Only about 2 years old

I've only had this refrigerator 2 years and the compressor is bad. GE support told me it was under a 5 year warranty. Tech came out and said it was a bad compressor but it is not under warranty. Very Disappointed. I loved the fridge otherwise.

Being that we couldn't see this style of fridge prior to purchase, we had to purchase blindly. I'm not a fan of the shelving height, the amount of ice it can hold, or how long it takes for the water in the line to chill after use. It's nice, but believe it could have been better designed especially for the money. We stuck with GE because they are one of the few who offered a black french door fridge.

We double checked, and your refrigerator comes with a Quick Space shelf and 4 adjustable shelves that allow you to organize your unit to best fit your needs. Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that cools 16 oz. of water, and the water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. Terrible noise

It makes a loud noise that GE said normal. Nothing we can do about it. Tech said he has mentioned to corporate but I’m stuck with a loud fridge

1. The product description said"black", but it's actually dark gray. 2. The handle to the freezer drawer frequently come off. I put it back on, but I am concern about this defect as the appliance/parts gets older. 3. My appliance was scratched when it was delivered; Would have sent it back but it took from July (purchased) to September 16th (delivery). It was stressful trying to run a household all that time without a refrigerator!!

Problems with Full-Width Temp Controlled Drawer

We loved this fridge but after 5 years we are experiencing problems with the fresh food compartment as well as the Full-Width Temp Controlled Drawer. The drawer is freezing all the food and the rest of the fridge is not keeping food cold enough and we are losing food - particularly our raw milk we purchase from a local farm, which should be ideally kept at 35 degrees. We pulled out the drawer and found that the vents behind the drawer had iced over, don't know why. The freezer seems to be working fine, but I do have a question about the freezer, can you over-fill the freezer drawer? Will that cause problems? My husband did pull out the fridge and vacuumed out all the accumulated dust.
I would recommend this to a friend!
