Remodeling kitchen, all new G.E. appliances refrigerator froze up and broke water filter and maybe more. Some parts are ordered 7-3-19 and to be installed 7-19-19 , will see if any thing else is broken.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst fridge, can’t maintain temp

We just purchased a new construction home and the fridge was not staying cold we realized after 2 weeks. The milk that was on the door was 47 degrees while the temp was set to 34. We tested the fridge over the next day and it never got below 42. A service call was set for 2 weeks but the builder called their distributor and had it replaced 2 days later because it was a brand new fridge. Now the new one took a day and a half to cool and even though it was set to 36, it still only got to 38 even on turbo cool. We purchased groceries and now with the fridge 3/4 full after many hours on turbo cool it is still only at 41. I will not eat the food that is in it for fear it is spoiled so now we have lost money yet again. Obviously this model is not made well and cannot cool properly.

Poor quality control

Loved the black slate finish! The most gorgeous appliance on the planet....but......the refrigerator arrived and the ice maker didn't shut off properly (strike #1). There was also a huge bulge on the side from being insulated improperly (strike #2). But GE customer service was great and sent a tech to look at it. They ended up sending us a new unit. Wonderful! But the new unit also had that unsightly bulge on the side (strike #3) so we refused it and ordered another. Refrigerator number 3 showed up with the same bulge (strike #4) and was like-wise refused. So when they tried to deliver refrigerator number 4 with the same bulge on the side (strike #5) we decided to return the original unit to the store for a refund. In all of it, dealing with GE was pleasant, but after 4 refrigerators having the same defect we were tired of dealing with it. Part of me is curious to see just how many refrigerators they would have sent out before they realized there was a major manufacturing defect. I was also not crazy about the interior shelving options. There were skinny shelves on the door where the icemaker was and they were so tiny that they were basically useless. But oh that black slate is GORGEOUS!!

Disappointed

I’ve had GE Profile refrigerators before but never the French door. I’m disappointed in the constant noise it has. I’m also disappointed in the tiny shelves on the ice maker side and there’s not much flexibility in the shelf adjustment on the right size.

Love the design and space, but it's loud

We have other GE appliances and were excited to have the opportunity to upgrade our refrigerator. We really like the space and design of this one, but we find it to be quite loud. Other than that, it's wonderful

I was extremely excited for my new GE fridge. This appliance makes lots of noise & when ice is needed in our beverages, the ice flies all over the place.

At I was first pleased by the design of the refrigerator. I liked how much space it had internally. However it recently broke down. First the freezer was not keeping my food frozen then the whole refrigerator went out. I’m really disappointed in this brand new refrigerator.
