Trouble with water dispenser

It took the repair tech three tries to figure out the problem with the water dispenser dripping water. Seems like this model has a more expensive exterior and a cheaper interior. It also makes ordering the correct water filters a problem. It looks good but not sold on the quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Cafe says it all!

Everything about this refrigerator says quality. From the finish to the features, I couldn't be happier. We looked at all the brands out there and read all the reviews. I've heard about the Cafe line for years and I'm pleased with our choice.

We love the way our Cafe Refrigerator sets-off the kitchen. It brings everything else up a level. The stainless steel finish is durable and easy to maintain.

So disappointed

It’s beautiful, I can say that about it. Well-lit inside.
But where do I start about the disappointments I have about this refrigerator? First, there’s no way to dispense ice without it going EVERYWHERE. Ice just comes out all over the place. I need a bowl to catch it. And don’t tell me to just reach inside the ice hopper to grab a handful. That entails opening a latch to get to it, then removing the entire bin to get to a cube.
And the control panel is not lit. So you can’t see the words on it! The material is dark, and the words are dark. I guess the designers put form over function on this one.
Speaking of function — the placement of the shelves is terrible. If you have a lot of tall bottles to store, forget about it. The half-shelf that slides back to make room is just not enough.
And it’s loud. Just loud.
I’m disappointed with this, but I guess I’ll have to live with it for several years. And I’m disappointed with myself for wanting a bottom-freezer refrigerator so badly that I settled for this one.

There are a few reasons ice may be flying out of the dispenser. To keep dispensed ice from missing the glass, put the glass close to, but not touching, the dispenser opening. If the freezer temperature is too cold, the ice will spray more because it is more brittle and flies apart faster while being crushed. Constant whirring noise

You would think paying for a higher line fridge that it would have better performance well it doesn’t. I wouldn’t purchase another cafe fridge again. The quality of the stainless steel and Special added touches have a nice appearance tho.

Love it!! Just wish the ice maker was bigger

It refrigerator is very nice and looks good. Only thing we would change is a bigger ice maker for family gatherings and another large inside door rack for sauces, jellies…

Love this refrigerator, it has clean lines. The interior lighting is great and it has so much capacity inside to accommodate all my refrigerated products.
