I love my new refrigerator, but it is frustrating to open both doors to access the full width door inside. I have ALS and it is easier to open than my old side by side.

A Beautiful Thing

I just bought this appliance Tuesday and it was delivered the 21st. It is so pretty and has all of the features I wanted. I love the ice maker in the door as opposed on the top left shelf as it gives more refrigerator space. The bottom freezer has a lot more room since my old refrigerator had an ice maker on the inside left side. Being able to get water and ice from the door is really nice. I do not have to open the fridge for water and ice which should make it more energy efficient. All of my other appliances are GE and I have been very lucky with them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roomy more shelves in refrigerator and more freezer storage. No need for a small chest freezer.

This refrigerator is very well laid out and very convenient ! The freeze works incredibly well ! Just wish the ice been was bigger.

does not cool our food :(

Purchased this fridge a week ago and it has yet to actually cool or freeze our food. It makes no noise so we are not sure if mechanically it is not working or what is going on. Disappointed obviously this will be a hassle to deal with. Someone from GE please contact me.
