I love this refrigerator!

I had been wanting a new refrigerator with French doors for SEVERAL years but had to wait and wait and wait. My problem? My prior refrigerator, also a GE (a side-by-side model), wouldn't stop working!!!! I had purchased that refrigerator the weekend before Christmas in 1997, and other than minor ice dispenser issues, it was still working like a gem! I just couldn’t justify replacing it when it was still great. Finally, after 19 1/2 years of use, I decided to do it anyway, when I saw a good Independence Day sale. First I bought another brand online, but having to wait two weeks for it to be delivered, I spend that time reading reviews and visiting stores to see what I was getting. I quickly realized that the refrigerator I had on order had consistent complaints regarding its ice maker and, as that was the main reason I was replacing my old refrigerator, I didn’t want to start out new with the same problem. I could only find ONE GE product that matched my needs since I needed a white appliance and they don’t all come in white anymore, but it fit the bill perfectly. So not only did I cancel the prior order, but I waited an extra week to get my GE AND lost my 24-month interest free loan, ending up with a 6 month loan instead. But I LOVE the refrigerator and would do it again!

A well designed refrigerator: Electric bill has gone down by $10, Excellent cooling, Very quiet, well organized internally, bright lighting. Replaced a GE side by side refrigerator.

Purchased this refrigerator two months ago and have been fairly pleased with the unit. Could not believed that there was no butter bin. Interior could use more lights.
