I have been wanting a French door refrigerator for a long time. My previous GE refrigerator finally gave up the ghost after 17 years.

I like this one. Very roomy. Sleek looking. Love freezer on bottom But again please include the instruction booklet!!!!!

We had this installed and all goes well except for one issue that I have with the GE line. This is the first refrigerator that doesn't have a separate compartment for butter/dairy products. I did call customer service but you don't make one that will even fit my appliance. Even the apartment size refrigerators had separate compartments. Yes, I will find a location for butter but I really miss the one that used to be in the door. I can't add a second ice maker to this model, either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Fridge

Totally worth buying this one. I had a great deal from a local h/w store. Fridge is just perfect in size, area inside and its flexibility on the shelves. The only 2 features I would have liked to have are the type of shelves available with it. There is a sliding half-shelf which you can slide to store tall bottles etc, which is not included in this fridge and the Egg/Butter compartment with the flip top cover is not included as well. Other than that the operations, temperature, ice crushing power, Open Door Alarm, everything works the way its supposed to. I recommend this model!

Three months into owning it, we had to have it reprogrammed and a new fan installed. Would like to have an idea how much ice is in the ice maker.
Still makes a little noise. Dishwasher is quieter than refrigerator.
Other than that we enjoy it.

Runs all the time too much noise

We bought this as part of a new home. It runs in some mode 90% of the time. The compressor noise and the fan noise are way too much. It does not have enough ice capacity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
